Every coach does that. What makes him any different?

When Bryan Harsin went to Arkansas State last year, do you think he didn't say he was committed there too? Less than a year later he's already at Boise State. Is he obligated to stay at ASU forever?

BTW, I know Arky State and Penn State are apples and oranges, but it's the first example that came to mind. You get my point though.

Keep in mind that this is only the 2nd coach that 99.9% of PSU fans have ever seen. We WERE exempt from this crap. We were HOPING BoB would be different and carry out what we've come to expect. It would be another huge disappointment in a series of them.

No doubt. It's one of the things I'm dreading when Texas hires a HC, that maybe he'll jump to the NFL too.

I'd prefer for scum like him to get out of my state. The sooner the better.

If Hack leaves, I'll order a hit.

In the beginning, yes. Now that Emmert & co are coming to the realization that they went too far & are giving us our powers back... No. He's a greedy fuck if he leaves now after talking these kids into believing in him.

I always assumed that if he had success (considering the circumstances) that he'd be a prime NFL target. So it doesn't surprise me at all. He kept y'all competitive. Beat Wisconsin twice.

Imagine how tough things could'a been without him?

All I can imagine right now is how tough things could be without him and his promises to the guys we have now and coming in.

edit.. if there is one consolation, its that the period of time that kids could transfer without impunity is now over.

So, eSPIN says he is going, going, gone?

So, who does Penn State have in line for the job? John Papuchis is still available.

You don't want Al Golden? He's apparently the prime target if this all goes down.

Sucks for PSU if true. Sucks for B1G as well.

I hope that PSU makes a good hire and their recruiting class isn't decimated by this news.

He's a PSU grad, so he'd be in the discussion obviously. Personally I'd want Dan Mullen. He's good friends with a good friend of mine... I'd be sure to reap large benefits from that hire.
