Well, we have a quite a few players kicking ass in the pro bowl voting. We have TEN players in contending spots at their position. Jackson and Mack are running away with their positions. Roquan Smith and Fuller appear to be in decent shape to make the roster. McMannis and Cohen are in 2nd for return specialist and the SPT coverage ace spot.

However, there is one part we deserve to be pissed about. Akiem Hicks? Sixth in voting at his position. WTF man? Somebody get the word out about this guy already. I thought the league/fans already knew. I would trade every player on that list not named Jackson/Mack to get him in - without even thinking.

Also, Trevathan continues to be horrifically overlooked. I think his importance to this defense is paramount.

May I join you in shouting out WTF!!!!????!!!! Only 6th place for Hicks? That's the sports equivalent of a crime against humanity. And another player not getting the voting love is Cody Whitehair. Let's face it, many of us had their questions about whether he was suited for center and perhaps return to the guard position. But he has played flawlessly this year. Has he even had a penalty so far? And I don't recall one bad snap to date. On both of these I could be wrong, it's hard for me to store OL miscues in my memory bank. Regardless, at the very least he has had one heck of a season. And I agree with you about Trevethan. He's had a fantastic and quite productive year, to me his best since joining the Bears. He needs some more love.

But Hicks in 6th......that's just plain bullshit.

And speaking of Hicks, should we be concerned about his status for the Giants game? He sat out practice due to an Achilles injury. That's a very broad explanation, being an Achilles injury can cost a player the season (see 2017 Richard Sherman). But you'd think if it was more serious, this would be a major story and there's barely a peep from the media. Hopefully we can file this one in the no biggie folder.

Of course he did... Gah damnit man.

Ya know what's funny? The night of the Vikings game I was thinking to myself "Man, Trubisky's never even had an injury that I remember. He seems to be very durable"

Then, yesterday during the Hicks discussion I was thinking "He also hardly ever misses practice, much less a game"

I think that I need to stop thinking these thoughts.

So it's your fault that he got hurt. Damn you!
