i the offense was better than I anticipated (even if a bit different) considering a senior transfer not as steeped in Riley's offense and basically a brand new O line.

The defense was a bit better than expected (despite a few off games), I really did not expect any real improvement in the defense. A jump from the near or actual bottom to the 50ish range in nice.

Bedlam was a nice surprise. Multiple trips to the red zone by the Cowboys ending in field goals was nice (the past few years has lead me to think opponent in red zone = touchdown).

F. The “university” wasn’t disbanded, the football team wasn’t broken apart never to be mentioned again. The stadium wasn’t demolished. They televised every single game they played. The entire thing was abysmal and a continued erosion of the culture of this country.

Figured we'd go 8-4, but I made the critical error of expecting anything out of Duke football.

A.

Individually, I expect Ohio State to win every game, but the chances they would actually go 12-0 was pretty remote with a new QB, new Head Coach, mostly new defensive staff, and an OL that was somewhat experienced but being shuffled around a bit.

I voted "D" just based on the definition you gave

I predicted 11-1 or 12-0, I knew it would be difficult before the season due to losing our to ILB starters in camp but I didn't expect the defense to not progress and look so shitty

Can't complain about a 10-2 season but they're are issues there that need to be addressed

I’m going to pretend this season didn’t happen so I think you can figure that one out

Gave us a "B", but it is a "B-" Not in the drivers seat, but still in the hunt for a major Bowl. Loss to BYU is an "F" on that test that counts for 20% of your grade.

Offense: C
About what you would expect

Defense: B
Didn't expect too much of a drop off even after losing the D-line but didn't expect the Defense to produce better numbers than the year before

Kicker: F
Had high expectation but currently 100th in FG%

Overall: C if they make the playoffs, B if they win it all

B+ major improvements to the offense with the backup qb.. and with a little more improvement in a couple of areas (offensive line and defensive schemes) we really could be a 12-0 football team..

I give the Cyclones a B. I thought they would win 9 and challenge for the Big Xii title. They did challenge but fell a little short. So, a B sounds about right.

ND earns a “C”. 10 wins (possibly 11) is nice especially since it’s 3 years in a row which means we might have finally turned the corner on recruiting holes.

The stink of the Michigan game just won’t wash off though.

D -

Two things kept me from giving them an F.

1) They improved from (4-8) to (5-7).

2) Four of their losses were within a TD or less...

@ Colorado (by 3 in OT)
Indiana (by 7)
@ Purdue (by 4)
Iowa (by 3 on a last second FG)

If they'd found a way to win just one of those four and became bowl eligible (6-6), it would have been a flat D.

I predicted 12-0, but didn't expect this much domination

Using Wisconsin's grading system, I'll give us an AB (between an A and a B).. This team was a lot better than I thought they would be and made huge strides on the defense and at the QB position. The OL was worse than last year, but not by as much as I expected. I would never have guessed that we would be one of the best eight teams in the country, but I think we are.

That said, I can't give an A with the Illinois choke. You can't self-destruct and cost yourself the Rose Bowl and still get an A.

I'm happy for Illinois going 6-6. At least all of our losses are .500 or better teams for years. I don't remember the last one.

I said B. I thought 11-1 this regular season. End 9-3. Things I got wrong, OSU was pretty much the opposite of what I thought they’d be and our offense turned on too late; I thought we’d lose to either Wisconsin or penn state. Not both. But blowing out ND and MSU was fun.
