Basically all of your posts would suggest otherwise. Even your comrade says so.

No school can publicly discuss student grades/test scores/etc. It's called FERPA and it's the law!
Not only that but Johnson doesn't have an offer outside of Michigan from a Power 5 school. Davis' recruiting profile is a little more impressive -- and based on his offer sheet I could see him jumping up in the rankings.
Davis holds offers from Mich, LSU, Florida, Nebraska, Vandy, Louisville, Mississippi, and Miss St.
That's pretty darn good. I could see him end up as a high 3, low 4 star kind of player.
But, no, Alabama doesn't care.
If Alabama cared, he would have gotten an offer from Alabama and Michigan wouldn't have even a remote chance.
If Auburn offers, Michigan is probably out of the picture as well.
So if you take away all of the two star recruits, your average stars looks better? Holy crap, Batman. If you take away all of the 2 and 3 star recruits from Michigan, they will be looking awesome in the average department.Well since the 17th, Michigan has nabbed 3 four star players, 2 top 150 prospects. Up to 8 four stars in the class on rivals. Things are looking up. At this point, based on the rankings last year, that should almost guarantee us a spot in the top 20. Assuming the class is shooting for 25, the final 5 could make or break a top 15/top 10 finish.
The updated Rivals rankings are OSU 3, MSU 5 and Michigan 6. But the average star ranking of Michigan is still pretty low considering the low-end of our class. What's sad is that you take those 5 or so players off the bottom of our class and it looks a heck of a lot better.
Michigan's 2016 recruiting class is now ranked #6 just ahead of . . . wait for it . . . Alabama. Even if it's early
My point is that the road between Alabama and Michigan runs both ways.
I didn't say it was the "same."
Btw, how many is Michigan going to sign this year? Up to 20 already.
I was told just a few months ago that the reason Harbaugh didn't fill up the roster after arriving was because Michigan doesn't oversign and you only had 17 spots.
So do Michigan fans still care so much about oversigning? Or is it "well yall do it too" now?
Not by 24/7 composite unless you are secretly a Michigan St fan.
2016 Football Recruiting Team Rankings
Current Ranks:
1. FSU
2. LSU
3. Ohio St
4. Michigan St
5. Alabama
6. Miami
7. Michigan
Top 50 Teams ranked lower because they have less recruits, but have higher averages:
8. Ole Miss
9. Penn St
10. Texas A&M
11. TCU
12. Georgia
14. UCLA
16. USC
17. Auburn
18. Baylor
19. Tennessee
21. Oregon
22. Nebraska
23. Miss St
25. Clemson
27. Stanford
35. Notre Dame
44. Arizona St
In other words, Michigan is ranked high because they have lower standards than everyone else.
The number of four star recruits is above average at this point. Maybe average for a typical Michigan class. Like I said, even if nothing changes the number of 4 star recruits should put us in the top 20. If we add more, we should inch up the final rankings. So if you take away all of the two star recruits, your average stars looks better? Holy crap, Batman. Michigan didn't have as many spots on the roster for the 2015 class. Fewer players left the team, which was quite young. Michigan does not oversign or grayshirt--the B1G doesn't allow it and has stricter rules than the SEC. The rules for the 2016 class do not kick in until after national signing day next year.
You implied it when you said the road runs both ways.
If they are taking spots from more talented players that want to go to Michigan, why did Michigan offer them spots? The number of four star recruits is above average at this point. It's unfortunate those 2 star recruits exist. Personally, I think they're just taking up space that could be used for more talented players -- especially if we do well this year and the demand increases.

Other teams that are in the top 50 and ranked high are teams like Kentucky - #15.
So, how many spots does Michigan have available? You have 20 recruits already, the SEC doesn't allow more than 25.
So 3 more spots?
Spin it any way you want.
