I don't think we have to worry about adding Weems, Englert, or Bradford.

I don't think any of those 5 "prospects on the fringe" need to be added.

Of those listed as current 40 man on the frings I can see them keeping Santana, Howard, and Walker and allowing the other 5 to be dismissed.

We might bring back 3 of the free agents, allowing the other 3 to leave.

I think that gets us to 39. Trade Walker and Howard and you are at 37. It would be very manageable from that point.

Mason Englert has a very low whip but a ERA in the 4’s. Maybe defense is lacking or bad luck?
I’d like to see him moved to AA soon so we can see if he needs to be added to 40 man

I like him but due to roster crunch I would slow play him

Yeah that would be tough.
Unless he dominates down the stretch and the acquiring team puts him in the bullpen to acclimate to the bigs.

As of today we can relax for a while.Spend time evaluating the prospects that are on the team and playing. Smith looks like a UIF me. Duran has shown he can play IF/OF. Hernandez has not played enough to know how he is doing and Leody is our CF if he continues to do what he is doing now.
