The Rangers return home reeling from a sweep at the hands of the O's, bringing with them a 3-7 record over the past 10 games. They sit at 6 under .500 and in 3rd place. I think we can all agree that the acquisition of Duggar has tanked this team.

Tonight features a matchup of starters named Gray, which probably means something to someone, somewhere. 7:00 start. Tomorrow is Perez vs someone not named Perez at 3:00, and Dane Dunning throws the final game of the series on Sunday at 1:30.

I keep going back to this blurb when I think about who the Rangers should take in the draft.

"Johnson is a potential No. 1 overall choice because he might be the best pure prep hitter in decades. He has a track record of pummeling pitchers on the showcase circuit and some evaluators give his bat top-of-the-scale 80 grades. One scout gave him a double Hall of Famer comparison by calling him a combination of Wade Boggs' plate discipline and Vladimir Guerrero Sr.'s bat-to-ball skills."

Termarr Johnson would be a great pick.

One more thing about Owen White's third really good start for Frisco last night. He seemed to get better as the game went on. A lot of times this year I have seen our pitchers in the minors strike out 4 batters in the first 2 innings and then weaken as the game went on. That was not the case last night for Owen at all.

As of now, I think this would be how my draft board would stack up. There is a gap between Jones and Parada, in my estimation. But, what do I know?

He's not really at risk of being wrong here. Rangers have the 3rd pick and he's named 3 guys in the top 5.

Something tells me Baltimore will take a college bat that they can sign under slot. Who knows about Arizona will do, but I would imagine, if he is still there they will take Druw Jones.

Owen White was ultimately effective despite some early troubles. San Antonio put two aboard with none out in the 1st and 2nd, and two more with one out in the 3rd, but managed to bring only one home. White retired his last 11 in order, five on strikeouts.
