Dungy started every game? I know he left some due to his shoulder.Ohio State, Oklahoma, Alabama, Clemson, Washington, michigan, LSU, Notre Dame, Georgia, Texas, Penn State, Kentucky, Washington State, Northwestern, Iowa State, Texas A&M, Syracuse, and I'm sure I'm missing some. This is the list of top 25 teams that didn't have to start a backup QB due to injury to the starter.
Performance is another aspect. It doesn't go for or against my injury point. Injuries are happening at the QB position more and more often in CFB. If your QB is benched because of performance, that's even worse for OSU because who else do you put in?I'm not sure how that refutes what I said.
Plus, that 38% figure doesn't mean 62% of QBs were injured at some point. This past season, half of the playoff teams finished with different QBs due to performance.
Because it's not the most recent. It also doesn't prove any point. You said assuming a QB will be healthy all year is unlikely, yet it's actually more unlikely that OSU has to start a backup due to injury. And that invalidates the data how?
The point being, there's a significant chance of that happening -- that that it's the most likely thing to happen.Because it's not the most recent. It also doesn't prove any point. He didn't miss any starts. I was wrong about Book though, they did elect to hold him out against FSU to start Wimbush, but obviously that didn't make a difference.Dungy started every game? I know he left some due to his shoulder.
But there's not though. The point being, there's a significant chance of that happening -- that that it's the most likely thing to happen.
The overwhelming majority of top 25 teams didn't have a starting QB miss a start due to injury in 2018. Did you know that, or are you just ignoring it to try and push an unfounded agenda? The point being, there's a significant chance of that happening -- that that it's the most likely thing to happen.
Is Harbaugh on the hot seat this year?
"An AP analysis of all the Football Bowl Subdivision programs shows that only about 38 percent started the same quarterback in every game last season, whether due to injuries or performance."But there's not though.
No. 1. Who else would we get that could do better? 2. He's winning a lot of games 3. He just needs to get slightly better and beat OSU to accomplish what we want him to accomplish, made easier by Urban leaving. 4. Firing Harbaugh would likely mean more seasons trying to compete for bowl eligibility, no thank you.Is Harbaugh on the hot seat this year?
In 2015. OSU wasn't one of those teams. Nor were they in 2016, 2017, or 2018. Again, it also doesn't reflect the idea that QBs are more likely to get injured than not."An AP analysis of all the Football Bowl Subdivision programs shows that only about 38 percent started the same quarterback in every game last season, whether due to injuries or performance."
Sure, some of that is performance. But some of that is injury. That means that 62% had to play a backup for various reasons at some point throughout the season.
Sorry that you are to slow to understand the difference between building something from mediocrity and having a pre-built machine.
You don't need to miss a start to have to rely on a backup QB to win a game....you do realize that, right? A starter can start, get injured and a backup is needed. The overwhelming majority of top 25 teams didn't have a starting QB miss a start due to injury in 2018. Cool story. Got info on how many games Top 25 teams relied on a backup to win?You don't need to miss a start to have to rely on a backup QB to win a game....you do realize that, right? A starter can start, get injured and a backup is needed.
100% fact. Some of you meeeechegan fans really are a special kinda crazy. In 4 years Jimmy Jam hasn't beaten Ohio State. Has a losing record vs. Michigan State & lost to Notre Dame. He's yet to win his division or a conference crown. His team gave up an all time high 62 points vs. Ohio State. He's the only coach in ann arbor to start his career 0-4 vs. the Buckeyes.
If his name wasn't Harbaugh he would have been fired 5 minutes after Florida bitch slapped your team in the Peach Bowl. But, but, but Jimmy Jam just needs even more time to turn things around right?
Prediction, OSU goes 9-3 in the regular season next year.
