The NFL is considering a "Remote" Draft. Unless things change dramatically, they will not be able to allow the public to attend the gala planned for Las Vegas in April. Because teams generally have between 8 and 15 people at the raft, the league doesn't want to have 450 team representatives and half of the league officials all in the same room swapping air.

Nothing is in stone but they're considering having each team have a Draft Room at their main office or hotel. All of the networks will be assigned a team and the NFL Network will direct shots from every site as the Draft progresses. Goodell looked like his puppy had just been run over yesterday when the insane "no" sports media was screaming like wounded ducks for anything they could get.

Austin Hooper is signing with Cleveland and the Falcons are trading for Hayden Hurst to replace him. A double vanilla nut tap on the TE market for the Pats.

Not that either was a realistic option but it was nice to think about.

Well if the Pats don't land a decent TE I think that is draft priority one. BUt it's a shitty draft for TEs

I could see a 2010 type scenario...sign a cagey vet (Charles Clay?) to be the veteran mentor and then draft two guys. There’s not a whole lot of other options in FA. Nick Vannett, perhaps. Or try to grab Njoku in a cheap trade from CLE and see if they can unlock his potential. Otherwise it might be a hope Matt LaCosse stays healthy and turns the handful of flashes he showed last year into consistent production scenario.

I’ve flipped flopped on college TE’s all off season. The guy I’m liking now is Adam Trautman from Dayton. I was watching his college highlights and comparing them to Gronks. A lot of similarities.

Most TE's are not NFL ready season 1.

But you have to consider the level of competition they face in College too, kids can look great because the face sub par talent. I am not saying that's the case just a consideration.
