The setup is certainly in place...if Dak can stay healthy (and a fair question since he's missed at least some time in 3 of the last 5 years and more than half in 2 of those).

Dallas will be interesting to watch and see how it all plays out.
If Dak gets hurt and some crappy back up is in there. It is all over for Pickens he will essentially give up.
And I am also curious about will be the first time when Pickens gets 1 target after CeeDee has 10 catches.

If it all works out their passing game will be entertaining, not sure it translate to wins but at least it will be fun to watch.

Pulling this idea from Reddit as a good way to pass some time in here:

Let's create an AFCN ALL-BUST TEAM!

afcnorthmemewar-all-bust-team-who-was-the-biggest-qb-bust-v0-doa0b45m1k4f1.jpeg

We'll start with QB. Comment who you think should take the position as the worst bust, and we'll tally the group once we get the list narrowed down. If there isn't a clear winner we will keep narrowing down the voting.

I think for Browns list ends at Manziel. smith an easy choice for Bengals and Boller for Ravens. Might be wrong but Pickett the only 1st rounder in Steeler group, right? Makes him an easy choice too for me.

well QB was easy.....for me.
Manziel
Pickett

Gotto go with Smith...Manziel a close 2nd...I think was the highest draft pick listed here?

Don't you dare beschmirch the good name of Kyle, I can throw the ball 70 yards on a knee, Boller! Uncle Ricco ain't got nothing on Boller...LOL

Malone was 28th overall in the 1st round of 1980 draft. But he at least lasted 8 years in PIT, 4 as a starter IIRC.

Kind of a tossup between Smith & Manziel... Probably go with Smith given the draft capital at 3rd overall.

I do remember Malone pretty well as a player.....admittedly would have guessed midround pick.

Obviously you want more from a late 1st but he's far from a bust with that length of time in league and as a starter where he was picked.

Not really a bust by the sense of being a complete failure... but the pressure of taking over for Terry Bradshaw magnified his ineffectiveness. And Kenny had a lot of pressure taking over for Ben.

But I think its fair to point out that Kenny Pickett ran himself off before we really got a fair shake at what his potential was.

Many seem to be saying his OC at time was main issue (and even though just read article this week about him name escapes me). Cannot say I followed close enough to offer an opinion.

Have to believe the higher ups still there didn't think was solely the OC or likely they give him a shot without him.

Seems like a good dude in interviews so hope he figures it out....never mind good for my team if he does. Even better if one of the rookies.

Matt Canada was DEFINITELY hindering his development... Throw in a garbage OL and a HC that restricted everything he did (throwing over the middle)... There was a laundry list of reasons why Kenny never got a fair shake at becoming something in PIT.

Tomlin became enamored with the idea of bringing in Russ Wilson to mentor Kenny. But Kenny wanted the keep his starting role, and they said no. So Kenny forced a trade.

I still root for Kenny, but I'm a little sour at how he handled himself and forcing his way out.

Akili Smith hands down.

This All-Bust is going to be very heavy on Ohio.

Timing in these things matters as does what he says in public.....but if a young guy who will soon want his 5th year option picked up wants to play I get it. Though didn't do him any favors sending him to Philly.

Our strongest/weakest contenders are going to be Jarvis Jones, Jamain Stephens, and maybe Troy Edwards.

Was thinking would need to go back a ways to find a WR candidate. Maybe all the way back to Fair Hooker (taken over Isaac Curtis)......but had forgotten about Corey Coleman. Guess Tommy Vardell can be our RB option?

I would go with Akili Smith / Johnny Manziel for QB, and I am pretty sure Ki-Jana Carter is going to be the biggest RB bust. He is the reason the Bengals don't trade up in the first anymore. Traded up to the #1 overall pick and got KJC.

In Vardell's defense... Square peg round hole... Beliicheck drafted a FB to play RB. And he ended up having a decent career as a FB for Barry Sanders.

William Green rings a bell...

I'm going to disagree on the Ki-Jana Carter thing...I draw a line at the bust label here because he had some severe injuries that impacted his game. I don't think having a big injury/injuries should immediately put you in bust territory. At that time, an ACL injury was pretty much the end for skill position players. That surgery has come leaps and bounds from what it was in the late 80's and mid 90's.

I'd actually go with Trent Richardson at RB for biggest bust.
