The irony of dudes raised drinkin Iron City beer with their barbeque chipped ham being triggered by Cincinnati chili never ceases to amaze me.
Because we are cultured on this side of the Ellicott Line.

Any chance we can just form an OHIO team? Cleveland's defense with Cincinnati's offense would be a title contender...LOL

What an abject mess...

I recently learned that Russell Wilson enjoys Skyline Chili...... Really closes the loop on a few conversations here. I'm really looking forward to watching him play. 35, coming off a calf injury, hasn't been good since pre-pandemic days. What could go wrong for Pittsburgh?

It's just another ring of this 3 ring Rooney Bros. Circus.

Aside from 2 fewer interceptions, Fields' numbers were in Deshaun Watson territory.

Time to switch from watching the dancing Bear to riding the aging Bronco.

Russell looked good - but I also think he benefited from quite a few...what I guess I'll call....lucky catches where he clearly just threw it up. Hey, it worked, so I'm not knocking it - but I'd wager that isn't going to be sustainable offensively.

Bigger key will be once teams get a few games on film on him in Pitt and then start to adjust...but, for now - the offense picked up and that's what they were looking for.

Pickens is that 50/50 type of receiver and will make those grabs the majority of the time with the right type of passes.
I think it was more, lets do this a lot tonight to show teams what we are capable of with the intent of making teams focus too much on that. With the hope it makes the rest of the garbage WR's get open every once in a while.

I'll admit Russ looked better than I expected... But I can also say that Pickens made him look good

Both can be true.

Early on I thought, oh know Russ is cooked but after the rust was gone he did a lot better than I ever expected. Do I think this will happen each game, definitely not, but if they can average over 200 yards passing with a TD or 2 each game, we haven't witnessed since Ben left.

That is the thing with Pickens, he could have made all the other shitty QB's the Steelers had look better than they really are. What I am annoyed with, was it the coaches play calling that never gave them opportunity, or were they all just that bad and lack the IQ to attempt the throws?

NOTE: I fully think Tribisky was just THAT bad and stupid. But the others I feel a lot of it was play calling and the coaches lack of confidence in them.
