Hmmm... Is there a pattern forming with Trent Baalke's FA tactics? Manningham was instrumental in the Giants' win the 49ers in the NFCCG. The 9ers sign him the following off season. Boldin had a huge game in the SB against the 9ers, now they trade for him.. Just saying...

I was going to post the same thing. Also with the rumors of Reed becoming a 49er as well. I guess our modo is if you can't beat them sign players that used to play for them.

Rich Eisen:

Anquan Boldin joins Brandon Marshall and Randy Moss as the only Pro Bowl wide receivers to have been traded TWICE since 2007.

I can't stop thinking about what the Bears traded for Brandon Marshall. Ahhhhh!

Is he possibly a replacement/upgrade for Walker? Walker wasn't the greatest inline run blocker, but was really effective as an h-back and in motion. I could see Boldin filling that role and bringing much more to the passing game.

I do as well.

Our secondary is going to look significantly different next year I feel.

I feel like it's all but certain (maybe just assumed?) that Dashon won't be back. In a way, that bums me out because I do think he made some timely big plays the last few years. His frequent 15 yard penalties drive me nuts, though. I don't blame him for wanting to cash in, since it didn't happen for him two years ago. And I can't say I blame the team for not wanting to give him 8+ million a year, either. You can't pay everyone.

So, who were the last two Super Bowl opponents to complete a trade for a starting player just months after they met in the Super Bowl? That was the question I had earlier today but forgot to toss it out there.

Old NFC West maybe? But we wouldn't have to worry about the Seahawks since they are in the AFC West in the bizarro world
