I wonder how much that has to do with corporate rolling over since the 90's though in Cleveland. I am no economics savant so i can't answer that properly.
It didn't effect the Tigers attendance at all....

How the fuck do Cleveland fans sell out Browns games all the time when the Browns are the most disgusting pro sports team in all of the USA... and not attend Indians games when they are competitive?
I blame the NFL zombies. They'll go to games even when ownership has not a single clue what their doing.

because tomorrow Brantley could have a set back and its over....and honestly? I kinda forgot Tulo was traded and really looked at the SS depth all of a sudden in the AL...shit man...Correa, Tulo, Lindor is freaking STACKED---- and thats without 2 solid guys like Escobar and Bogaerts--- and then after that you have 2 really good glove guys in Simmons and Iglesias.....ill admittedly back track on that being a SLAM DUNK for Lindor though I definitely think he will make it.-- i do think Iglesias is probably #6 or 7 SS in the AL..prob 6....
yeah... thats what i thought. iglesias bat is nothing but a cherry on top.. He is easily one of the top defensive shortstops in the league.

its funny because people in cleveland complain about the owner of the indians and say he is why they don't go to games.. then they go to browns games when the browns owner is literally a laughing stock.

they have spent on some big contracts in the past few years but they have invested in the wrong guys most of the time....the guys with the biggest contracts? Westbrook a while ago now- got a 3 year deal and got hurt....Hafner got a big time deal and got hurt (and was roiding FOR SURE and went from like a 35-40 homer 280 avg guy to SHIT over night), Sizemore they gave like a 5 year contract too and he got hurt, Bourne and Swisher both good big deals and sucked....

while there is no doubt they dont have the money to go out and sign an Upton AND a Zimmerman like the Tigers can----- they can make moves here and there...just lately they havent really been right on who they give what money they do have too----

all though to be fair- right now Brantley and Kipnis and Kluber, and basically anyone of value on the Indians is gonna be here for a good long time. Not only that- but they have some solid minor league depth, and Bourne and Swishers money will be off after this year (via Chris Johnson) and they hsould have some flexibility next offseason.

Makes no sense. Slinky mentioned this as well a ways back too, iirc. Indians ownership does suck, however.

True, BUT, there's the first 3 years he had in Houston too.
yah i mean- ive seen some ALL Star minor league numbers by Lonnie Chiz- but after 3 years in the majors of kinda mostly sucking except for a GREAT half 2 years ago- hes sucked....nothing would leave me to believe that a guy with great minor league numbers with 3 relatively crappy major league years in between is all of a sudden going to blossom. THATS FAR from a typical career path.

I mean JD martinez had 800 at bats of suck over 3 years before he came into his own....lets hope Chiz can recreate some of that!

actually 26 years old is considered to be entering one's prime years... so JD Martinez starting to figure it out then isn't really that crazy.

Heard some thing about no more sliding into 2nd to break up DPs.....when I played we sharpened out spikes. Game is getting soft. That's why soft teams like the royals can steal a ring. Just saying

I see the Royals just signed Moustakas through his arb years... Boras told them to F off on getting anything more than that.. He is set to cash in 2018.

Justin Upton made his first all star team last year since 2011. In a contract year.

Ill bet my left nut he is not an all star this summer.
