Speaking of which, were you SPF 69 in 2009? Or Rabid Koalas? You're a charter member, right?
the DLFL
This is my year, SlinkyRedfag.Yeah, total. You've got a better chance at having a winning season in the DLFL than you do of Thome wearing a CHW hat to tHOF.
Steroid scandal notwithstanding, he's done some pretty awesome things for the sport. It's more popular and certainly more profitable than it's ever been, and he has a lot to do with that.

Salaries are out of control
I don't think he did anything good for the game of baseball.
ticket prices are insane
I'm an expansion team @SlinkyRedfoot
True that, but the fact that MLB is selling more tickets than ever before proves that the market will bear those prices. I don't like the prices either, but then again, I don't like the prices of Porches. In a free market, just because you want something to be more affordable, doesn't mean it should be.
Also, have you compared the average ticket price of MLB to NBA or NFL? Shit, look at concert tickets these days. None of it has much, if anything, to do with Bud Selig. You just need a scapegoat.
If you say so.I don't need a scapegoat.
How do you factor that in? If you want to take your family to a sporting event, you need to look at the cost of that event, not the cost of if you went to every event that team has. You can get into The Jake for $10 or less - they won't let you stand outside by the door to a Cavs or Browns (in an average year) game for $10.I don't think NFL tickets are that bad, when factor in each team only has 8 home games, not 81.
I don't know what 1st row, 50 YL tickets cost from the Browns, but I would be surprised if it's not close to twice what a 1st row seat behind HP would be for the Indians. Regardless, I know the average ticket price is significantly less to The Jake.Yet, to sit behind home plate will cost you just as much to sit at the 50 yard line or pretty damn close.
I highly doubt anything will change my thoughts on Bud.
Looking forward to it. Hoping I won't have a crotchtarded draft.Crazy that 2017 will be our ninth season.
What I was trying to say is the NFL has less games to make money on, compared to MLB. Yet, the price of their tickets are somewhat comparable.
I'm going to win. I'm tired of my championship being a victory over you whilst my team blows.Crazy that 2017 will be our ninth season.
Remember that one year I had steroid Jeter and almost went undefeated?Crazy that 2017 will be our ninth season.
I'm going to win. I'm tired of my championship being a victory over you whilst my team blows.
The average NFL ticket in 2016 was approximately three times more expensive than the average MLB ticket. That's not comparable at all.
Regardless, the origin of the ticket price discussion was that you were blaming Bud Selig for MLB's high ticket prices, which is patently absurd. It wouldn't matter who was in that office, the ticket prices would still be ridiculous.
If you want to know who to blame for MLB ticket prices, you need to look no further than the seventy-three million fans that attended regular season games in 2016. They stop paying those prices, the prices will drop.
