He sure was.............doug. lol

Woops. I stand corrected. I've been in Denver and Nashville the past eight days and wasn't paying a lot of attention to the Tigers pitching (or Indians games, for that matter).

You're right. Fulmer has more or less been getting his dick stomped on for the last month and a half. I guess he'll make some team a pretty good back of the rotation guy.

I suppose I read too far into this:

Mea culpa.

So if it's not Verlander, and it's not Sale, and the homerism of anyone suggesting that Porcello/Kluber are the frontrunners knows no bounds, who exactly do you think is in the cat bird seat this afternoon?
Not Kluber.

I figure with Fierce and Twins lineup in the same sentence my lack of seriousness would be clear.

I gotta find a radio. I forgot they're playing.

Not Kluber.

Agreed. I'd say it's Porcello, with Kluber just behind him.

Since I misunderstood you once already today, I might as well ask; was me suggesting that Kluber/Porcello were the frontrunners right now the unbound homerism you were referring to?

It wasn't. I thought the implication was that Verlander is in the conversation and should improve on that because he's facing what you perceive as a weak-hitting lineup.

As I said, I misunderstood.

I think there's a group of four, then Britton(I'm not crazy on the idea of a closer). And Id say RickyP has moved up to the Top recently. His ERa got down to the rest of his numbers and with the wins, his shot seems legit now regardless of the run support.

Homerism was more at Wiggy, but you being lumped in was just a bonus.

Didn't he just say that Kluber and Porcello were the front runners? Maybe I missed something else he said, but if that's it, referring to his comment as unbound homerism is some lady-like melodrama.

I do agree that Porcello's probably in the lead right now, but I'm not convinced it wouldn't go to Kluber if the season ended today.

Innings, ERA and WHIP are more or less the same. Porcello has a decent sized advantage on the W/L comparison, but Kluber's struck out nearly 30% more batters and has two shutouts. If you don't consider W/L records, I think Kluber is the current front runner.

Yeah, I went back a reread today's posts. All I found was Wiggy saying that currently, it's between Kluber and Porcello (which it likely is).

Oh, I guess I also found you handing out rainbow ratings and calling folks homers - very Vice-like of you, Smitty.

Well, when you're calling folks boundless homers and handing out rainbows because they make reasonable comments that you don't agree with, I guess if the imitation alligator skin loafers fit, wear 'em with pride, dude.
