Don't forget..Cracker Jacks had more peanuts in the 20s. You could verify that iffyOMAR - serious question concerning fielding stats. Below is a glove similar to the one worn by Detroit 2B Charley Gehringer in the 1930s. Gehringer was considered an above average fielder in his day. I was just wondering how you could compare fielding from that period, with the fielding of an infielder today? You might even want to consider the affect of wearing a wool uniform might have had on fielders in the 30s - on a warm humid day. (No argument - just curious about your thoughts. @Omar 382

Royals host the Nats.....I have to go with the Nats. Not saying sweep...yet
Yo, dude!
I never heard from Howie, and Doug has absolutely no heart, so that means you're up for this week's series avi bet.
Now, full disclosure: the Indians have been losing series like it's their fucking jobs and I've had/will have a pretty rigorous travel schedule and when I'm traveling, I hardly post at all, so I've been giving guys who won an avi bet against me a few extra days so they get their dollar's worth. So, I'm backed up with other folks' avis for a bit.
This is embarrassing, but should you win the bet, I can't sport your avi until May 21st. If that's still cool with you, we're on!
I fucking hope the Indians learn to win a fucking series pretty soon. . .
Obviously, imperfectly. Fielders were not the same. There was no shifts (at least until the 1920s courtesy of Cy Williams) and gloves were much smaller and harder. Before the 1920s, fielding gloves were seen as a means of protection; not a tool. Larger webs didn't become widespread until around the '50s or '60s (I'm not exactly sure the date). So it must have been harder to field and catch baseballs.OMAR - serious question concerning fielding stats. Below is a glove similar to the one worn by Detroit 2B Charley Gehringer in the 1930s. I should also add I don't know a ton about fielding gloves or their history, so I'm not the best person to askObviously, imperfectly. Fielders were not the same. Did Omar really claim that he was a bad ass felon that is dangerous? I wish he was standing in front of me so I could slap the stupid off his face.
Gangster my ass, he's a poofter.
Only things that are afraid of him are flame broiled Whoppers and fries.
May 32 is hard to get lucky on
Don't forget day light saving timeand yesterday wasn't april 30 either. your post, not mine. #7641.
I'll just run slink's avi from may 32nd- may 39th
How come sparty boys having mentioned no body really wanted connor cook? Even in a weak draft of QBs. He went so late. Rumors of him being such a richard. Not many NFL teams wanted him. Even deantonio. Stabbed him in the back
