I would take Upton on a 6 yr deal backloaded before I gave 5 years to Cespedes... and I loved having Cespedes.
I agree. I'm wondering why he and his agent don't jump on something. Seems like the market will dry up more as time goes on and teams get more comfortable with what they have.He wants to many years and to much money. I think the market dried up for 100+ mil contracts.
I don't see how they can't be thinking the same thing you are right now.I agree. I'm wondering why he and his agent don't jump on something. Seems like the market will dry up more as time goes on and teams get more comfortable with what they have.
His agent claims they are talking to 7 teams...It would interesting to see how many offers he may have right now and what/who they are.
Dayum! I could believe that though. Helluva player. Now that Parra has supposedly signed, maybe the "dominoes" will start to fall... probably not.His agent claims they are talking to 7 teams...

They are reporting that the Tigers are now targeting OFers from the Rockies in a trade.CBS reporting Parra has signed with the Rockies, 3 years/$27.5 mill. A couple came off the board today, so you might see a run on the remaining big names. For Cespedes, it depends on how much of a gap there is between his agent and reality.
Hope not.Cargo?
I think a lot of Rockies players tend to get injured.. not saying if they leave there it will change.. but it has to be something with playing in altitude... because there is a long list of players there that can't stay healthy over the years.Agreed. He was surprisingly healthy last season. But prior to that: 70 games, 110 games, 135 games, 127 games ... ugh. The Tigers already have enough injury risks on their roster.
