The Coliseum is a dump in Oakland. But it's situated great to break up the population there East/West. And the As have to get a lot of SacTown fans coming now.

I think the A's are in talks for a new stadium in Oakland now.. and if the Raiders leave. which they most likely are.. it will finally be a baseball only stadium. When the Marlins played in Dolphin Stadium it was god awful. So many bad seats... the new stadium doesn't have a single bad seat. I hope for A's fans they get a nice 35,000 seat stadium instead of that cavernous shithole they have now.

I'd have to get it if I moved out of area. MLB network is great, but it's not enough games.

I've thought about buying just to be able to watch the rest of the division more. I honestly like Clevelands pre-game shows on Playtime or whatever it's called. I can watch those up till just before the first pitch. Then blackout.

I think its cheapers if you get the online subscription instead of the TV one.. not sure about the quality of the stream.. but I think its like 1/3 of the price.

Someone posted the drawings of the proposed stadium on here last year. Right on the water with a lot of glass. It looked awesome.

My sister goes to a lot of games in Oakland. It's like $5. And they don't check bags, so everyone brings in booze. Wasn't the case in San Fransisco. Lol. I tried.

I wish the MLB had the package like the NBA.. where instead of being able to watch all out of market games.. you can just pick one team and watch all their games and pay a fraction of the price. The NBA allows you to pay by the game too.. like $6.99 or something like that. Its a pretty cool concept.

Yeah... I honestly think its coming sooner than later. HBO and a handful of others already have their own apps that stream their channel live. HBO charges $15 a month just like they do on tv. NFL doesn't do it yet.. but MLB and NBA you can buy the season for streaming online. From what I have read... the main thing holding it up from happening is local TV channels like local NBC/CBS/ABC/FOX trying to figure out how they get their piece of the pie.

I think that most of these people are just scared to do TV differently.. all you have to do is look and see how much the Kardashians make off their apps to understand how much ESPN would make if they charged for a monthly subscription.

The one thing the map I posted last night is missing that is a huge piece.. is Canada.. which Detroit has the right to a large chunk of in Windsor and Ontario. And Obviously Toronto has its area now. Not sure who gets the montreal and quebec areas now that the Expos are gone but that wasn't a bad baseball market and they are even talking about a team going back there some day. The Mariners obviously have Vancouver and the Twins have a good portion of Central Canada.

I've heard that Montreal's infrastructure is in extremely bad shape from someone in the construction business. He feels that it is a disaster waiting to happen and would be surprised if MLB would go back until it is addressed.

I know that Manford has spoken about it and basically suggested what they would have to do to get another team. It wouldn't surprise me to see baseball go back to Montreal in the near future... and it wouldn't surprise me if MLB is using the Montreal market as a threat to Tampa to get their shit together...

Honestly.. The baseball stadium in Tampa is probably the biggest piece of shit stadium of any pro sports franchise. Its an embarrassment. Anyone that goes to a game there spends most of the time looking around and wondering how its possible that a pro team plays in such a shit hole.
