I bet I get called a dick or a faggot....or something similar. After all, most 35 year old men on the internet use that kind of language all the time. Oh, wait....isn't that most 15 year olds use that kind of language?

Yeah, I'd guess he's in his early to mid 20's.

Just like every scout that's seen Fulmer has him as a MLB-ready starter, except for the ones that don't, right?
i am pretty fine if Fulmer ends up as a starter or reliever... either way.. scouts agree he is a great pitching talent.

@SlinkyRedfoot you might not want to quit your day job for guessing who people are or what they do. Your guessing is less accurate than preseason projections about baseball.

Castellanos easily could hit for .300. Gose and Maybin play the same position... one is going to be a bench guy.. I will give you both if you like... but my focus was on the lineup. The Indians clearly are not as good of an offensive team. Its not really that hard to see.
I'm still trying to figure out how we have 8 guys capable of hitting .300. Bench, starter, callup, what have you.

But I tend to be practical.

The Indians don't factor into that in the slightest.

Capable and actually doing it are two things.. but every member of the Tigers lineup either have in the past... or have the potential to hit for .300 outside of McCann and Maybin/Gose. I am not talking about bench guys... I will adjust to 7 not 8.

You need to keep adjusting.

preseason still.. probably will.
Good.

Cuz Castellanos ain't hittin .300.

Dude has a .304 OBP in the majors.

His minor league OBP is identical.

I'll be happy if he raises his average to .265 this year personally.

Let's just say Terry Collins is not a big fan of analytics. The Mets manager tells USA Today: "It's become a young man's game, especially with all of the technology stuff you've got to be involved in. I'm not very good at it. I don't enjoy it like other people do. I'm not going to sit there today and look at all of these [expletive] numbers and try to predict this guy is going to be a great player. OPS this. OPS that. GPS. LCSs. DSDs. You know who has good numbers? Good [expletive] players."

LOL

I am more than confident he will do much more than that... as is ESPN.

Age: 23 | 2015 WAR: 0.5

Castellanos was rushed to the major leagues in 2013 before he was ready, and it has led to a relatively slow start to his career. But entering his third full season, he'll begin to realize his potential. He'll benefit from hitting in one of the league's best lineups, with Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez, J.D. Martinez and Justin Upton all hitting ahead of him. As such, there will be little pressure on him to produce, which can only help.

Castellanos is very good at taking the pitch the other way, and his power is beginning to come around. I'd look for about 18-20 homers this year, with enough ducks on the pond for him to post a respectable RBI total. He has been slow to adjust to big league pitching, which had to be expected, given his age, but this is the year he takes a big step forward.

Not that there is a ton of real competition.. but its really not that far of a thought to see Castellanos have the best offensive season out of any 3rd base in the AL Central.
