Yea I forgot about him and edited the post before your reply...Holland was pretty bad last year, so I'm not sure how big a loss that will be.
Pretty bad maybe compared to what he was.. but he still had a ERA+ of 109, 9.9k/9, and era of 3.83 and 32 saves.

I'm not saying that Kipnis is a better hitter, in fact I agree that Upton is better, but it's a lot closer than these numbers indicate and certainly closer than you're implying. These career numbers are skewed by an injury year for Kipnis and an outlier "MVP" year from Upton.
Outlier MVP year? The guy has hit 25+ HR every year but two in the MLB since coming up full time. You could argue his BA and OBP dip last year was more of an outlier than his MVP stats are.

This is all boring as hell. All I want to know is this.........

What was miamivice's prediction for the Kansas City Royals in 2015? In 2014?

What was his prediction for the Detroit Tigers in 2015?

If any of you know the answer to the questions above....why aren't you rolling on the floor laughing right now?

Upton's 2015 season was a product of a tough HR ballpark and a shitty lineup. Though I'm not a huge fan of his, he'll bounce back at least to career norms in the Tiger lineup, and likely higher.

Kipnis in 4 full time mlb seasons has OPS+ of 102, 130, 80, 121... Upton has never had an OPS+ lower than 110 in any season he was a full time MLBer.

His ERA, WHIP, K/BB were all worse than the MLB reliever average, and his BAA and OPSA were right around the average.

To say he was a mediocre MLB reliever last year would be generous...

No, I have more. How about you declaring that the Royals would never make the World Series....after the postseason began. And then....get this....betting ON the Royals to win on the Sportshoopla bookie thing!!!!

Credibility = zero

No, you could argue that. I couldn't because I'm not retarded.
Yet you want to compare Jason Kipnis to Justin Upton at the plate and think they are comparable... Kipnis is lucky to hit 10 HR and get to 60 RBI..

They still lost a ERA+ of 109 and didn't replace it.. They added 1 above average bullpen arm and lost 3.

No, that's you doing that, sport. I said Upton was better. Right here:
I can't wait to see what Lindor, Kipnis and Brantely look like wrapped up in the shit taco that is the indians lineup.
