Everything CP3 means to the Suns in terms of leadership, Jokic means to Denver.

And his stats are much better.

When was the last time an MVP didn’t make all NBA?

CP3 shouldn’t even be a finalist IMO.

Well, Lebron agrees with me, so you're wrong. :D

I think whoever wins tomorrow's game wins the series but I still see it going 7 games.

Nurkic isn’t wrong either.
You know the game, all he cares about is that people are talking about what he said.

He might be.

Give me Boston Perk over Alex Len

That isn’t saying a whole lot.

Perk was a very good post defender, but his skill set is less necessary today than ever.

There's a number of people i would take Boston perk over. He wouldn't start but solid backup center if he played today imo

Would he be on a roster?

Yes.

Would he play?

Not a lot. He certainly wouldn’t be a starter unless he was on a bad team.

Boston Perk was still Boston Perk in the early 2010s and he wasn't effective at all. He stuck around but he was basically played off the court after 2010. Like this isn't ancient history. He played in the league we see today. He wasn't good.

So we are just going to act like that knee injury in the 2010 finals never happened? He wasn't the same player after that. Im not talking about the Perkins after messing up his knee. I'm talking about the defender he was prior to that.I'll believe the great Kobe Bryant who made the comment that perk was the best post defender in basketball 2008ish

Yes, we are. Because Kendrick Perkins is overrated. He was an ok player, but not some defensive beast. KG helped cover up a lot of his deficiences. He's just some random role player whose perception got elevated by being around HOFers.

Post defense is really only needed situationally today. Pick and roll defense is much more important.

Hell, I believe if Scott Brooks had been smart and benched the corpse of Perk against the Heat, there is a good chance the Heat lost that series to OKC.

Brooks wasted almost 30 minutes a game on a guy whose only real skill was guarding the post, when his opponent didn’t have a single low post threat on it!

Bigs who don’t have a good offensive skill set and aren’t plus defenders in space are not valuable today.
