Finch will have surgery and will be on crutches at the very least... This shit is unprecedented and I don't know how it's going to work. Counting on an assistant to lead the team against the defending champs is not a recipe for success.

This series is the real test of Gobert. Nurkics skillset played into what Gobert does best. Sund had shooters, but nobody to pull him to the perimeter with consistency, which is how he usually gets played off the court in the playoffs. Jokic is obviously way more than just a diversion to remove Gobert from being effective, but Gobert staying on the court is critical for Minnesota. I do think Reid and McDaniels are both very good at defending the paint, and KAT is no longer a liability down there. I think they can handle it, but I do worry sometimes my homerism is just burying years of evidence of Gobert in the playoffs by thinking they are built to keep him at his best.

This is a tough series. This will be a great defensive series but stars will also shine on offense. If Murray is inconsistent then Minny can without a doubt win this series. Gobert is a great defender but if Jokic can get him in foul trouble that would be a big key for Denver. I lean Denver bc of the experience. I think Minny is the better defensive team in this matchup. They are also a better outside shooting team than Lakers.

I still lean Denver in 7

So I noticed yesterday Ant in still a small sample size of 15 career playoff games is averaging 28.9 ppg.

I wonder how many other players have done better in their first 15.

I know Murray and Mitchell both blacked out in the bubble early in their careers so they may be higher of recent guys but 28.9 seems like a lot even in this era

I think the Finch thing is a non-issue, he is having surgery soon, and the expectation is it won't prevent him from traveling with the team. If he is on the sideline it won't be an issue at all, none of his coaching is based on his athletic prowess.

If there is a complication and he can't travel that is a huge deal.
