So basically you came here to post that if Embiid missed only a few games he'd be MVP? No shit.

No. I came here to ask a question
as @tlance seem to think Jokic would have been the MVP no matter what

You bored or something?

When did I say that?

People here were still promoting Embiid for MVP even as his games missed neared 20, and then others tried to make a pitch for CP3.

My point is that Jokic has produced an MVP worthy season and would be on the short list of contenders just about any year.

Yet people still want to look past the obvious for other, less deserving candidates.

I don’t get it.

Or, maybe others have pointed out that Jokic isn't the only one with a case?

CP's injury and the Suns performance vs the Lakers clearly shows he is the true MVP.

BS.

Lakers were favored before. They were always supposed to beat the Suns. They played horribly in game 1.

Never said otherwise. But, they had a much better shot with CP than with Payne and the rest.

I was also kidding by the last comment.

Given the injuries to the others who have the resume for it?

He should be the only one with a case.

That is the point.

CP3 does not have the stats for it.

Ummm.

Ok?

Every team has a better chance of winning when their best players are healthy.

Except, the Suns had a really good shot at beating the Lakers.

If only there were something besides just stats to base it on.

Oh wait...

He's also not the only one with a case.

Did they?
Yes, just look at game 1 where CP played the most minutes in the series.....since his minutes have gone down? The Lakers have taken control of the series.

You're putting a little too much into Game 1, imo.

Yes, a healthy CP3 helps the Suns perform better in games 2 and 3. Booker and Crowder probably don't lose their composure and get tossed either...but based on how each game ended, I don't think it would have translated to wins for the Suns.

End of the day, the Lakers are just too big for the Suns and as good as he is, CP3 isn't helping that. At the end of both games, the Lakers were just bullying them.

Maybe in one or two games but nobody had them winning the series. Literally nobody - that doesn't shout "good chance" to me.

Everything CP3 means to the Suns in terms of leadership, Jokic means to Denver.

And his stats are much better.

When was the last time an MVP didn’t make all NBA?

CP3 shouldn’t even be a finalist IMO.
