This franchise is broken right now, the split with Wilson and Pete has put us completely in rebuild mode. I want to see more time from the young guys and that includes Howell. The Seahawks are not a playoff team and to be honest i would be shocked If they can finish better than 1-5 or 2-4 in the NFC West. Not only that we are looking at a losing record at home, time to play the young guys. The Seahawks are 0-2 ( out of 6 ) in the Division, 2-4 at home ( With only 3 more home games for the rest of the season ) and 1-4 in the conference. Unless something DRASTICLY Changes there is no chance they sniff the playoffs. We all know that the 3-0 start was great timing facing the teams we did face with the QB's they had playing. We knew it and under stood it and even being 3-0 not many of us were "sold" thats who we are. Like it or not that lucky start has slowed down any changes that needed to be made.

The Move that JS just made releasing Dodson is a head scratcher. It's the type of move that makes me think its a " Hey we know it looks bad so we will do something" Type moment, you get what I mean?

Rebuild mode? Yeah sure and obviously some (most) of the additions are not what we were hoping for. However I'm for trying to fix issues when they arise. The linebackers they signed were not working in the run defense (not sure but think you noted that, but maybe it was someone else) and Knight strength is run defense but his pass coverage needed work. 49ers are going to be targeting him next game. I expect the staff been working to help him improve in that regard, have to see how that goes. I hear Haynes hasn't gotten more work is because of his lack of power according to Grubb when asked outright. Seahawks have considered moving Connor Williams to guard (according to Macdonald) but that would mean moving someone else to center mid season which isn't ideal. That likely will be the next move if needed. This is a work in progress and I hope we see some improvement come out of some of the changes taking place. One thing I like is that the coaching staff answers tough questions when talking with the media.

We didn't have a lot of cap space to make big moves on the OL and LB. JS tried to get some discount players to fill roles. Baker and Dodson clearly did not work out. Tomlinson hasn't really either. Williams seems like the only good FA signing we made this offseason.

I'm glad that they moved on quickly from Baker and Dodson rather than pretending that everything was fine. But we really need something to fix those spots.

Waldron barely made it over half the season in Chicago.
