2024 Season Thread

In Season Trades:

• Amari Cooper was traded to the Bills along with 6th round draft pick in return for a 3rd and 7th... Meh...
• DeVonte Adams was traded to the Jets for a conditional 3rd round pick... Meh
• Today, Z White, DE for the Browns was traded to the Lions along w/ a 7th in return for (2) 6th rounders... Meh...

The value in return during the season isn't as good as it can be in the off season... Teams aren't going to give up high draft picks for players that may only play 8 games for them this year vs a full season... You're willing to give up DK for a conditional 3rd rounder, 2nd rounder at best? We would not get a 1st rounder for him if we trade him mid season... Off season trade? I would be surprised if we didn't get a 1st rounder...

Trading him in the off season would more than likely land us a 1st rounder for him...

Off season Trades:

• Chiefs trade T. Hill to the Dolphins in return for a 2022 first-round pick (No. 29), second-round pick (No. 50) and fourth-round pick, plus fourth- and sixth-round picks...
• Bills gave up a 4th & 5th along w/ Diggs to the Texans in exchange for high 2nd rounder (33rd overall)...

I personally don't feel there is an urgency to trade DK at this time... I would rather wait til the off season in hopes that we can get more value for him...

Id only do it for two firsts, may have to wait for draft day after the top 5 Wrs have already been taken

I am definitely not expecting anything close to 2 first rounders, but I do think it makes more sense to trade DK than to give him another contract. We have other things to spend those limited resources on, like O line. DK is an impressive talent, but high priced WRs is not the path to winning in the NFL. They are not fundamental building blocks of a winning team.

Maybe two firsts wont happen but on the right team he could be the difference between an nfcc loss and a SB appearance. Thats worth two firsts especially when theyll be late

I have only felt this way a couple times in my ~45 years of being a Seahawks fan, but I'm glad there's no game this week and relieved I don't have to watch this team play. Hopefully the break will do us both some good.
