Houston?

All I see Brooklyn getting is a 26 for a 27

They got back their pick swap for 25 as well.

Brooklyn is re-acquiring their 2026 first-round pick from the Houston Rockets which was initially moved in their trade involving James Harden. In return, Houston is receiving the Phoenix Suns' 2027 first-round pick and the right to swap Houston's or the Oklahoma City Thunder's 2025 first-round pick for the Suns' 2025 first-round pick. They also get the more favorable 2029 first-round pick between the Dallas Mavericks and Suns, and have the right to swap their first-round pick for the less favorable of Dallas' and Phoenix's first. Houston also is giving up the right to swap a first-round pick with Brooklyn for their 2025 first-round pick.

Never thought this type of trade would return after the Celtics/Nets trade. Seems like the standard now.

And people are saying this is bad for the Nets!

Crazy.

Not sure why the Knicks did this trade. Can anyone explain this to me?

Knicks need to stuff shake Milton into this deal to get hard capped at the second apron

Means they’re less likely to have to dump someone

Still think they’ll trade Mitch or randle and these two picks for another guy who fits them better

It’s not crazy because they had better. It’s not crazy because the timing came with a quickness as they bent over for a players demand. It’s not crazy because at the end of the day they can’t trade the things that make the Nets a garbage franchise.

Makes the Knicks an actual contender instead of a pretender.

Bridges fits them perfectly in many ways.

They paid a heavy price, but they should be a top 3-4 team for the next couple years assuming they resign OG also.

The nets will also likely have 60m in cap space next summer

Maybe less depending on the draft picks holds

But they could turn this around quickly

No imagination and sheer laziness. They think they can win an NBA title with a core of guys from Villanova. They’re being the Knicks again over inflating losing to the Pacers in the 2nd round because they have no context for what real success looks like. This group needs everybody in the East to get hurt again in order to get to the ECF.

They got 6 picks dude.

That is not bending over.

The Knicks paid a huge price.

Better is your opinion. It is not fact.

And whether or not they turned down better in the past, this is a great haul for Mikal Bridges.

This team won’t even get to the ECF.

And now we find out if OG Anunoby is a liar. Toronto was willing to give OG the max to stay and he refused because he wanted didn’t want to be buried in the offense and wanted to be more than a 4th option.

Brunson
Randle
Bridges

OG is no better than a 4th option on this squad and if the playoffs are any indicator he’s going to fight with DDV to be the 4th option.

Maybe not.

Celtics are clearly better.

Others will depend on moves and health.

But LOL at you.

You can’t actually think this trade is bad for both teams.

You are just butt hurt because they didn’t trade Bridges to Philly.

Philly had their chance with him and blew it. Terribly.

They really need to move Randle. Losing Hartenstein (can they pay him enough?) will hurt, do they now pivot to keep Robinson?

6 picks for a guy who isn’t top 30 or so

Inflation is crazy right now…

I agree. Their best chance hinges on keeping hartstein.

He did a great job on embiid in the offs

I have a feeling the Rockets are trading all their picks for 2 stars.
