Bronny will be getting a multi-year contract. He will not sign a two way, so he'll be a Laker.
Two other second rounders have signed. One for 3/$8.5 the other for less.

According to everyone from ESPN to Yahoo, Bronny's will be fully guaranteed.

Length and dollars are unknown. One writer says that it will be 4 years and at least $10M and more likely $12M.

Question: Where does that put first round picks who can actually play basketball at the NBA level?

The truth is he is Lebrons son, it affects no one but him.

I actually feel sorry for this kid.

This was his dad’s dream, not his.

I was hoping some team would save him from this fate.

I do not believe Bronny is a NBA caliber talent.

Can he play himself into one?

Maybe.

Payton Jr did.

He won’t suffer a fate any worse than the guy the Lakers actually picked in the first round last year.

JHS had absolutely no business setting foot on a NBA court.

So, I tend to not shed a tear for some of these kids having to settle for a 500k per year two way deal instead of playing in the G league for NBA pay, even when some deserve it more than Bronny.

He would be wise to just embrace it and acknowledge the opportunity he has been given. No one has anything against him. He would not be being his father’s son if he did that though.

Totally agree, though in a sense wonder why. Can make strong case he is putting up even better numbers than he did on the Cavs team he dragged to a Finals in 2007. Tougher West I guess part of the reason but does at least have a true #2 to play with in LA.

Defensive impact is the biggest thing.

But the second thing is the way he is scoring.

He is increasingly taking a higher percentage of his shots from 3 and jumpers. Those shots are good shots for him, however, he isn’t putting as much pressure on opposing defenses as prime LeBron did who was atracking the paint and collapsing defenses more often.

The numbers are there because he has the ball in his hands and he is still super efficient.

But the overall impact is that LeBron today isn’t nearly as scary for opposing defenses when compared to 2012 or 2015 LeBron.

I heard a little bit about it, don’t think it ever got serious. For what he signed for wouldn’t be terrible I guess but I’ll take Joe for less money all day

Mike Tyson today isn’t as scary as Tyson of 1990.

I still wouldn’t advise taking a haymaker from him.

Bron is still Allstar level.

But his franchise player days are gone.
