Redick wants AD at PF....from stuff I have read.
AD at PF full time is problematic IMO. For one, it pushes Lebron to SF, and asking him to demand SFs consistently is an issue. Plus, AD hasn't been a reliable 3 pt shooter since 2020. If Redick can fix AD's shot, then maybe that can work. Even in 2020, AD played C in crunch time.

Won't be an issue if that add a C that can shoot....like say Mark. Or somebody else.

Good on the Clippers. The players do not control this league. Finally an organization has balls
Was it good on them? The end result is he opted out and they will lose him for nothing now. If they still had years of control I would be all for it, but seems shortsighted when he can walk whenever he feels like it.

Yeah, it is petty IMO.

Sure, they didn’t “give in”, but they could have gotten a couple assets.

Now they won’t.

When you aren’t contending, you shouldn’t care about which team you are improving. Get as many assets as you can, when you can.

Yeah, great.

Let him go play with embiid and they get nothing back in the process

Even though DRuss has returned, the Lakers will probably move him in some trade. Hayes has also returned via player option. I suspect the contracts of Reddish, Vanderbilt, Lewis and hopefully Vincent will be moved in some fashion in order to obtain a Markannen and maybe a Sexton. James will provide changes to his contract to assist in bringing Klay to the Lakers. We shall see how it all plays out.

Need to be able to aggregate to make it worthwhile

I doubt Markannen, he is currently playing at an All Star level making 18 million. His trade value is pretty high right now. Sexton might be a good get though.

Yea Thunder, I think that aspect of Pro Sports is a universal contributor to many decisions franchises make in all the major sports!

Depends on what they were getting. Expired players and late 1st’s is better than nothing but then you watch GS win more and in the end yes you get something but odds are it doesn’t help you if the goal is a championship.

Now if we are talking 3 1st’s and a young player, this doesn’t make sense.

Franchises can offer what they want, he doesn’t have to accept. The feeling disrespected part is his issue.

Yeah.

Not like he is getting more money elsewhere.

Warriors offered more than the market on him because of what he has given the franchise.

I get that might feel bad for a guy who used to be a top 20 player, but that is where Klay is today.

Not surprising. This is who Klay is. So the Lakers and Mavs rumors don’t make sense unless it’s a sign-and-trade. Klay is not accepting a “lowball contract”. He thinks he is still elite
