I don't really get this one. Are they gonna break up the Grzelcyk/McAvoy pairing? Or did they just pay a first rounder plus plus for defensive depth and a fourth liner?

I agree getting those two help but that seems like a lot of draft capital. I guess they plan on going all in this year for the cup but it doesn’t leave them a lot to get something else.


Note: Some seem to think the Caps didn’t get enough in return? I don’t see it for a rental.

I thought Washington raked there. There's a scenario where the Caps get in, face Boston in the first round, cause the upset and that pick is about 10 spots higher than where people thought it'd be.
