2023 Arb tracker for the Giants:

And projections:

For the 3 who signed before arbitration, it looks like the projections are low. That seems in line with how the free agent market has gone. I assume that most of those guys will get more than projected, except maybe Wade. Webb is really going to be interesting to watch. Maybe now is the time the Giants start talking a multi-year deal.

Only if an agreement is met. If they go to Arb, they will get WAY high or WAY less. The arbitrator has to accept one side or the other. They can’t rule on a compromise.

My point is that the market seems to show players getting more than projections suggest. I don't think the player ask and team ask for any of these guys is available yet. They may not have submitted them yet.

Sounds like the Giants did touch base with Correa/Boras when things started to fall apart with the Mets but it didn't sound like Correa was interested.

Here is a rundown of the SFGiants activity today compared to the MLBTR projections. The 8 players signed today were signed for a combined $310K above projections. That is pretty damn close.

It would be interesting to see what the two offers were for each player, and see how much they differ. I have to believe that through some back channel, the two parties communicate. In fact they must, as some agreements are made prior to arbitration.

I don’t think either side had submitted their official offers yet. I think that is done somewhat late in the process. And these were agreements, not arbitrated contracts.

I'd argue MOST agreements are made prior.
