Dallas Cowboys 2023 Undrafted free agents

  • Hunter Luepke, FB, North Dakota State
  • Tyrus Wheat, LB, Mississippi State
  • Isaiah Land, Edge, Florida A&M
  • Earl Bostick Jr., OT, Kansas
  • Princeton Fant, TE, Tennessee
  • David Durden, WR, West Florida
  • Jalen Moreno-Cropper, WR, Fresno State
  • Jose Barbon, WR, Temple
  • T.J. Bass, OL, Oregon
  • Durrell Johnson, LB, Liberty

gave Luepke, Wheat and Bostic $200K+ guaranteed which likely means all 3 were potential late round picks. Luepke looks like an interesting short yardage/3rd down pass protector/utility kind of back who can play FB and H-Back as well. Also could be a guy who may run down on STs to tackle which I don't think any of our other guys are other than Davis and he only had 2 tackles last year. Will be interesting to see who makes the final roster at RB. We have a few guys in the running and I wouldn't be shocked if we offer Zeke a vet minimum deal to throw him in the mix for one more year as well. I think both Vaughn and Luepke have a decent shot to make the 53 man roster or at a minimum the PS.

Some additions

I like some of these. Fant could push Hendershot. Hendershot did have some dumb penalties last season.

The Oregon lineman could push Farniok and Ball. Bostic could be practice squad or swing candidate. Supposedly Bostic is good in pass protection. I think Ball is on the bubble. These moves make me think that they are not all that happy with the TEs and WRs especially Jalen Tolbert. Could be a battle for the number 4 and 5 reciever. I don't think Turpin is that safe Moreno Cropper is a fast wideout and could push Turpin
Cowboys love Hendershot

I could see TJ Bass taking Balls spot. Bass I think would be a good guard or center candidate. Bass did ok against Georgia . Gave up no sacks. Was rather effective against NFL caliber players in that game. Don't really want him at OT,but on the inside I really like him. He really does play with good technique and is big enough to hold his own

Vizcaino. They need to sign a guy like Gould or another vet. I don't trust the only kicker on roster. No sense in bringing Maher back IMO. They need to make a move sooner than later. We just need somebody that has been clutch and a guy that not going to miss extra points.

I go sign Matt Araiza for punter he has been cleared of a wrongly placed charge that got him cut from Buffalo as far as kicker. This is why you need a Steve Hoffman type guy on the payroll so you are always developing or looking at kickers. Maybe they do but he is under the radar

We certainly need a kicker, but on McManus, he was under 80% last year on his FGs. The top kickers were over 90%. His career % is only 81%. No harm in bringing him in of course but he wouldn't be my top choice.

it's cool, we just take a couple of false starts to make the kick be between 40 to 49 yards where he was perfect last year.

you can just see the Dallas 2023 storyline taking shape.

I'm all for the unconventional if that's what it takes :thumb:

Our kicker was so bad in the playoffs we started going for 2 because extra points seemed impossible. Would tale McManus in a blink

Those aren't the only two options.
