We have the answer on Cueto's option. Still awaiting official word on Flores and Alvarez. I'm pretty sure that Alvarez will get picked up. Flores I thought would get declined but since the news didn't break at the same time at Cueto's decline, I'm starting to lean toward a pick up of his option.

Anyone volunteering to set up a real time roster post?

I lack the skills, but it would be fun to track. '22 promises to be the most dynamic in my feeble memory. As they say, can't tell the players without a scorecard :)

Would have liked to see Cueto at his best going against the Dogs in the playoffs.... he deserved a final spotlight as did the Giants fans. Sorry to see his stint here just kinda fade away due to injuries

Sadly, it's the right thing to do.

I didn't know JJ had an option, much less that he was eligible for free agency otherwise. And why do they want to bring him back?

Also, the only contract purchased was Yunior Marte, who was slated to be a minor league free agent. The Giants are exposing a lot of talent in the Rule 5 Draft. I have no idea what is going on here.

Yet humble enough to catch in AAA if the team needs it. This is the kind of selflessness the team needs.
I understand he has some pretty psycho fans that go around cutting people, though. That may be a deal breaker.

A bit off topic but the Met's search for a GM seems to be a mess. I wonder if Sabean said no to any interest from the Mets or if the Mets are very focused on trying to pry away young execs from other clubs that don't want to let them go.

Mark Hallberg -> 3rd base coach
Pedro Guerrero -> Assistant hitting coach
Tiara Uematsu -> Assistant coach (1st Japanese speaking coach... maybe means something, maybe not)
From the Chronicle today

On the position-player front, the Giants are seeking a right-handed power bat in the outfield and have interest in Seiya Suzuki, whom they’ve scouted. Suzuki hit 38 home runs with a 1.079 OPS in 131 games for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.

Uematsu’s promotion is causing a lot of buzz that the Gs are going to be going hard for Suzuki.
