I mean I get your point
But the bucks have done this
The warriors have done it
The heat did it when Lebron was on the roster
It’s a pretty standard practice
Knicks gave it a good effort against the Bucks, but w/o RJ Barrett the task was too tall to carry out.
Milwaukee 111 - NY 107.
Stop it.
The Warriors are spending a lot more than the Lakers and just resigned Poole to a long term big money extension. Nobody accusing them of being cheap.
The Heat making that decision was part of why LeBron left.
The Bucks are in Milwaukee and don’t have near the earning power the Lakers do.
The Lakers are the most valuable franchise in the e NBA. They are a money machine. There is no excuse for them to avoid spending when they should be within a championship window, but aren’t because of their terrible decisions.
very good post ---- its the chess vs. checkers perspective. Here’s the problem: How?
They need Westbrook’s salary, which would be off the books.
They would have to trade Lebron or Davis.
exactly- so if you just let Reeves, Bryant and RW go- then okay- about 32-35M in cap space. They can still give them a moderate bump in salary.
But yeah those 3 have a 12m cap hold as well. So that 32m in cap space is 20 just off them

In all honesty?
That list is BS.
Lakers go up for sale today?
Going to be $10 billion. Maybe more.
Is it possible the Warriors or Knicks fetch more?
Maybe. But I highly doubt it.
Yep
The Warriors value is being driven by their ownership activities and recent success.
The Lakers would be worth more if they were being ran by the Warriors ownership team.
By 2029 both might be retired
Lebron, Jay-Z, Dr Dre as a group
The Lakers passed on signing Alex Caruso when they thought they were title contenders to save money.
Then they traded for Russ and have continuously passed on rumored opportunities to move him.
There is no excuse for a team with LeBron and AD to not be good.
They aren’t good because the Buss family is looking to save money and also seemingly super stingy in trades involving future draft picks.
Do we even know if that Pacers trade is available with the Pacers in the playoff picture? Detroit has a lot of takes for Bog; they would need an overpay to move him without competition. Sure, the Lakers front office is not good, but we're acting like the only reason trades haven't been made is their penny-pinching. To me, I just think their focus is wrong, wanting the HUGE move for a 3rd star (unlikely to materialize, and not ideal if it did) instead of incremental moves.
Yeah that one doesn't go into much detail, or purpose.... I found it late last night on the fly.In all honesty?
