No turnovers was refreshing.

I don’t expect that to continue.

But, could it be he finally understands his role?

Is it because he has finally landed with a coach who isn’t afraid to sit his ass?

Whatever the reason, he has been better and is actually contributing.

That's why some said if there was a chance Westbrook could work, it was with the Clips. If nothing else, he brings intensity that Kawhi and PG lack.

If true, this is as smart as the moves they made at the trade deadline.

This is the exact type of team they need around Lebron and AD...and they actually have some depth to be able to cover when AD and/or Lebron are out.

Just see how this roster finishes out the season then, as you suggest, maybe make a minor tweak or 2 in the off-season and run it back next year.
My unabashed Lakers hate aide, this is a good team.

Health and a consistent 3 pt shooter and off you go.

The only reason you are in a pickle is the timing of the trade.

Had you had this team all season, you would be a playoff team, not headed for the playin.

But, I seriously doubt you could have gotten this particular deal done any sooner.

…..and definitely NOT at that price point.

So, it is what it is.

Not Kawhi.

That fucker has been a goddamn MACHINE since before the break.

He has finally gotten himself into shape.

Props.

Still…..
West is wide open. Just need somebody to get hot and dialed in. Looked like it would be Suns post KD trade but with him being injured now, there aren’t enough games for them to figure this thing out before playoffs hit. Why not the Clippers?

Agree. While I would have preferred to get this done sooner, when you consider what they paid, it was worth being patient. It sucks because I don't think they're going to be able to get enough time together to make a finals run this year. But the rest of this season and a full training camp should put them solidly in the mix next year.

Maybe give Dwight or Whiteside a call?

Either one could have given them the rim protection and rebounding they needed last night.

Hell, considering that they played better in the 2nd half, just playing AD his usual first half minutes and sitting him for the entire 2nd half may have been enough.
Whiteside signed in South America, or some shit….lol

Dwight out in China competing in 3 pt contests.

He might be out his goddamn mind with the wrong kind of confidence…lol

But, Noel or Howard…maybe Favors?

Aldridge shouldn’t be in the mix…imo

If you even get Lebron back, what % will he be?

That’s really the only issue for this post season.

The health of he and Davis.

Get him right this Summer and get a Kennard type, while retaining your depth?

Bruh.

Kawhi is intense, but he's a mute.

Westbrook brings outward, angry intensity. The type that Pat Bev brought when he could still be an important part of a rotation.

Gettig nick smith at 20 could be a huge get

Pre season top 5 but hurt and not playing great coming back, but huge upside

Otherwise sasser is the only other first round pg around there

I really like Hawkins for you guys with all the ball handling you have with Lowry and jimmy and Bam’s passing

Run him off the line all day like the pistons did with rip in the 2000s

Smith will climb in workouts.

Not a ton of competition.

Tankathon has him #8.

The last report I saw on Lebron was encouraging. It said his foot is much better. He's out of the walking boot and started some basketball activity (just free throw shooting, I believe). He's not due for a re-evaluation until about the 23rd. I'm hoping he gets back with about 5 games left.

And yep, as well constructed as the roster now is...it's still built around Lebron and AD. Hopefully it will enable them to play fewer minutes per game which should help with their health.

@The Q

After watching Walker Kessler, I got my eye on Zach Edey, Purdue.

Clippers will likely end up with the Bucks pick after the Eric Gordon trade.

Other guys I like in that 28-30 range…..

Jalen Wilson, Kansas…

Jaime Jacquez Jr, UCLA

ETA: Keyontae Johnson in the 2nd round if his medical check out.

Everyone ready for March Madness?

Had to go to the airport yesterday and pick some family up. My mom hadn't seen her great grandson yet.
