For the record, I was 100% on the Broncos taking Fields. Not often you are picking that high and have a chance to take a QBOTF. Surtain may become a HOF CB and I’ll be proven wrong (again!) but the law of the NFL still is NoQB, No Hope.

matt will play 4-5 more years. would have went from 4th to 2nd in the QB.

Troy Renk , Stiink and others media types are now saying next years QB is not on the roster right now.
If that is the premise Paton is working with,

are we really just trying to win for the coaches to save their jobs vs playing Lock who has maybe potential. The other 52 and the young players need to develop as well. Does Lock or Teddy give the other players like Juedy and Hamler develop better under which QB. The vet who may be able to coach the young players game in and game out I think may be more valuable than Lock's potential or is it more hope for Lock to develop and be pleasantly surprised.

I don't think it matters what kind of year Lock has - the Broncos will be looking for the best QB for the team next season. It's conceivable that Drew Lock can have that kind of year where he makes himself the answer to that question, but not likely. In his first year with the Broncos Drew Lock seemed to infuse the Broncos with a spirit - that Drew Lock wasn't there last season. If your team plays for you and believes in you - that can help overlook some flaws in your game.

It really doesn't matter who starts at QB. I don't want a dumpster fire. I want Denver to be competitive and respectable and when Arron Rodgers looks at this team he would realizes Denver is one Superstar QB away.

Gotta have everyone on the same page drafting a QB. Takes just one guy not to believe in him and your stuck in a Jay Gruden/Dwayne Haskins situation.

For the record I am happy with Patrick Surtain. That’s who I always really wanted but at the same time I didn’t think Fields would be there for us.

Holy crap. That's pretty big. I think it should have always been like that, and I think all of the roster sizes should be increased across the board.

So you want the Defensive play caller to not call plays for the defense during practice?

Ideally I would want the head coach to monitor the whole team, with no play calling duties, but I think the play callers need to call the plays during practices.

Wouldn't team just stash players on injured reserve instead of letting them go to other teams?

Well. It has to be during the season but yeah I am sure it happens... I think the NFL needed something like this though. It was long over due. Funny that NBA, MLB, NHL had IR to return rules, DL's etc, but the NFL never did until now. The league that probably needs them the most.
