Me either. The weirdest part is that when I quoted your post, it showed that you tried to link something. But then doesn't show it. Never seen that before. lol

Just tried to posting a link, Lue to Clips. Weird. It's was Bleacher Report, that was my first mistake

According to reports AD, Rondo and KCP are all expected to opt out. AD is expected to re-sign with the Lakers. KCP is said to be hopeful that he can work a new deal with the Lakers. It's not yet known what Rondo is looking to do.

The Lakers have KCP's Bird rights, so they can actually wait until they are done with whatever other moves they make and then go over the cap to give him a raise if they want to.

So do the Lakers trade Kuzma? That is the question for the Lakers.

there should be a few interesting senior PGs available at 28, including Malachi Flynn and Payton Prichard. Both of whom could be good fits for the team.

they also could trade the first to Houston for Daniel house if the rockets start to break it up.

Hard to say.

I still think he has the potential to be the #3 option he wants to be and he's improved defensively.

But on offense, he's been inconsistent. The Lakers could get away with that because they virtually always have the 2 best players on the court and guys have taken turns stepping up.

But he's also coming off of his rookie deal and will be an FA after next season. That likely means he'll be looking for a raise.

Imo, if they can put together a deal that will land them someone better/more consistent and is relatively young...they'd have to really give it a lot of thought.

They needed to keep something. Plus, he's better than he gets credit for. He's improved a lot defensively which helps.

The biggest issue is that he has been inconsistent trying to fill that #3 option role. Part of that is because this season was the first in his career where there was any kind of real stability in the organization.

They could probably get a decent return if they packaged him with Danny Green and/or their first round pick. Although I kind of like the idea that you mentioned of grabbing a point guard with that pick, especially if the re-sign Rondo. What a cool opportunity for a rookie point guard to learn how to control a game, read the floor, etc. from Lebron and Rondo.

It kind of sucks for Kuz because if there was more stability his first couple of seasons, we might have a much better idea of what he can do. He shows flashes and he has confidence...but those flashes have to become a lot more consistent.

his low salary is a challenge. I’m curious what you’d be targeting with him and green.

I would hope a shooter. That was the Lakers biggest weakness, imo. They got away with it because of their size, they always had the 2 best players on the floor and their defense.

The 3 point shooters they have are all streaky. The Lakers were lucky that at least one of them was hot in most games.
