Assuming Boogie's not too limited after this latest injury he could definitely help a number of teams out. He's only 29. Seems like he's been around for 15+ years. But he'd be a good fit in Miami. Strengthen the frontline.

Would be an instant starter as well

I think having your leading scorer in the playoffs available and healthy would have helped and I think most would agree with me. Lakers size wasn't much of a factor. The only true big they played frequently was AD. Dwight was a non factor and i don't remember Mcgee playing any important minutes.

The Lakers size was a factor. Even when they go small, they're still bigger than most teams including the Heat. The Heat were worn down from it. About the only who wasn't 6'8" or bigger was Rondo.

Of course having Dragic would have helped, but I don't think it would have changed the outcome because the Lakers had too much size at too many spots. They had lineups put there with AD (7'), Lebron 6'8", Kuzma (6'8"), Morris (6'8") and Rondo. Caruso is 6'6", so's KCP.

Even the Heat's taller guys like Robinson and Bam are skinny (although Bam is still strong as hell). It's not a knock on the Heat. They just need a little more size. It's why, if he's healthy, I think Boogie would be perfect for them. He brings the size they could use and has a lot of offensive skill.

Someone like Tristan Thompson would be really good for you guys as well. Maybe even better because he won't take shots away from anybody. Someone like that could have definitely changed the outcome.

I heard he wants to go to a championship contender and would be willing to sign for the MLE...rumors. That puts a lot of teams into play and I'm not sure he would want to go back to the Clippers. Warriors, Nuggets or Lakers...he would be a HUGE signing for the Lakers imo

Before the Iggy/Crowder trade, Miami had a deal in place for Gallo that fell thru. I'd expect Miami to pursue him hard. They've got cash (one of the few teams that does) and if he is willing to sign for the MLE, Miami could use that cash to beef up its roster more and still get him.

fell through cause he wanted an extension.

we’ll see if he holds a grudge.

but yes just offering more than the mle is a big advantage.

Miami could add 2 pieces with cap space, design their guys and then use the mle. Keeping everyone one one year so they can make a run at giannis

Yeah, imo, the main difference between the Heat and the Lakers was the Lakers size. Like I said during and after the series. The Lakers size just wore them down. By game 6, they had nothing left in the tank. I don't think Dragic all series being available would have helped that much because of that.

But, someone like Boogie, definitely could have helped.
Yep.

"With the salary cap likely to stay flat at $109.1 million, there are only four teams (Atlanta, Charlotte, Detroit and New York) projected to have spending power above the $9.3 million midlevel exception."

I bet it's going to be a short deal to coincide with James stay in Los Angeles......think he ends up heading to Chicago when James leaves. Based off his previous comments regarding the Bulls.

Depending on what the cap ends up being, he'd probably be smarter to sign a short deal anyway so he can be an FA again when it goes back up.
