Yeah the NFL can't touch Dunbar if there is no evidence he was remotely involved. The Attorneys dropped the case because there was no evidence saying he was there and the case was not strong enough to get even a reduced sentence hearing. Lets also remember he has witnesses himself saying he was not there, so now it's one group of witnesses saying "we think it was him but he had a mask on so we can not be sure" and another group saying " He was not there he was with us at such and such blah blah".

If the NFL suspends Dunbar that opens up a BIG can of worm that could have drastic repercussions throughout the league and even "VEGAS". Why? haha think about it such and such gets suspended games that cost that team wins and a playoff spot, they later find out he had zero to do with it and the man/person/people that accused him later changed their minds and said they made a mistake but they were fans of a rival time in the division and their team is in the playoffs... You don't think crazy ass fans would do this? you damn straight they would.

People go fooking nuts over football.

Looks like the Clowney option is done now, and I'm pretty surprised he didn't work something out with a 1 year deal and hit free agency next year, not sure what he's thinking, but it's his life... Seaahwks offered him 15 million a year, and that's not bad considering he can just hit free agency next season... I doubt anyone pay's him the 20 million or so he wants, he's just too injury prone...

Dunbar charges dropped...

Assuming health... as always... good fuckin' luck passing on Seattle. Adams, Diggs, Dunbar, Griffin? LMFAO.... might as well just blitz 7 every fucking down. Nice to see (and I 100% predicted it) that Brooks is already part of the starting depth chart. Brooks + Adams is going to be disgusting. RIP Kittle. Your days of abusing a weak LBer/tackling safety group in the NFC West is over.

I love our secondary. I hate our pass rush.

Pass rush will be fine. Irvin, Mayowa, Green, Brooks, and YES ADAMS... we never had some $12M+ (at that time) pass rusher in our super bowl year.

Pass rush was not the problem last year... it was the fact our secondary was getting torched 24/7 and Bobby Wagner lost a HUGE step.. which is entirely the reason they drafted Brooks.

We had the worst pass rush in the NFL last year.

Right, and the team and players we have now are ENTIRELY different than last season (thank God).

Well they are different. But why do you think it will be notably better? Because we replaced Clowney with Irvin and Mayowa?

As it stands we are relying on the possibility that Green or Collier make huge strides or Taylor becomes instantly good. That's a lot to hope for.

Because it can't get much worse? And while Irvin and Mayowa are NOT good OVERALL defenders, they are pass rush specialists... also... Adams is a monster as a pass rusher and with the way Carroll played Chancellor, I believe Adams will be quite active at the line. He blows up any runningback he goes against.

As for Green and Collier... hey.. another year helps. We never even got to see Collier really because of an injury so ANYTHING is an improvement this year... as for Green, I believe he's developing quite nicely. He was taken as a MAJOR project player since he needed to bulk up, but I think he started to show that this year. Hard to predict things with COVID and no preseason, but I think he may surprise folks this year. And it SHOULDN'T be a surprise. If he'd declared a year later he could've gone at the top of the 1st frame (assuming progression).

I actually think the kid from Syracuse has a better chance to make an impact this year than either Taylor or Collier.

Guess that's gonna have to be Clowney at this point? With Griffen gone idk who else is going to make enough of an impact to really improve things along the D-line.

I do see defenses, and specifically D-lines against new groups of O-linemen, having a strong start to the season with the lack of pre-season and such. But that also doesn't bode well for Seattle since well.....they have a few new guys on the O-line.

I'm really just hoping the secondary takes that big step with Dunbar and Adams and they open up the playbook more with Russ. That's probably gonna be the key to getting them W's.

Total sidebar but is your handle based on the political figure from the 19th century? And if so, why?

I've been meaning to ask you that for a while

Ha, nah. The handle, pictures, and my quote are all from the character from Portal 2 (voiced by J.K. Simmons). So possibly indirectly if they got the name from him? I was unaware of the political figure until you just brought it up.
