I'm still of the opinion of hardballing him and forcing him to play out his deal, and punishing him if he steps out of line.Brown also won’t trade without a new deal and guaranteed money

He's complaining about guaranteed money the next three years, but doesn't want to admit he got all his guaranteed money up front. That's why his cap hit is so high. He was paid handsomely already.
Anyone saying this would look bad to future free agents, all you have to do is look at Ryan Shazier and how they treated him, paying out his contract to date, even though it's pretty obvious he'll never play again.
I think other players can also see Brown is ABnormal.
This isn't geared towards anyone here because I haven't seen this argument being delivered anywhere on this forum, but I need to get this off my chest because I'm seeing this all over Facebook groups that I'm in.
I keep seeing the same argument from people who are okay with AB going and those who were okay with Bell going. "They never brought us any rings anyway."
I fucking hate this argument. I believe that it is so fucking stupid. Are these people saying that Santonio Holmes is a better WR than Antonio Brown because he was a Steeler when we last won a Super Bowl? Are these people saying that Willie Parker is a better RB than Le'Veon Bell because he was a Steeler when we last won a Super Bowl? With that argument, why don't we just let everyone who is on the team right now that wasn't on the 2005 and 2008 team just walk out the door? Using the thought process behind that argument, everyone who's been drafted since 2009 hasn't brought us a Super Bowl so get rid of them. It's such a stupid argument that most people use because there is really no reason for us Steelers fans to be mad at AB aside from his attitude problem.
i think you're not giving it enough thought. the idea is that, this core of skill players hasn't helped the team to win jack, so why not move on and see what might develop with new skill position players? perfectly valid take, in my opinion.
Every single player on this team that isn't named Ben Roethlisberger fall under the "they didn't bring us any rings" category. The argument doesn't just work for AB and Bell. That's my problem with the argument. There are PLENTY of other arguments to be made why we need to/should move on from AB and Bell. This one is the stupidest because 99% of the current roster falls under that argument.
Ok? Clearly 100% turnover of a roster in one season isnt possible/feasible, everyone is aware of this. But you're getting grumpy by coming to some idiotic conclusion based on ridiculous rationale that "because such and such said abc, then that must mean xyz". Just stop being a dumbass
Wow, thanks for the constructive conversation.
Says the guy who gets in a tizzy over nothing
Didn't get in a tizzy, just thought I'd share what I'm seeing in facebook groups about the AB situation. I'll know better next time.
Ahhh hell, I cant stay pissy with you. Cmere ya big lug
Wait...how do you know I'm fat?!?!?
I call everyone a big lug before a hug

Something has changed for sure.AB is a fuckin weirdo.
AB is a fuckin weirdo.
Not tagging Bell will give them a nice chunk of cap to play with. Not getting my hopes up though. I’m just going to expect the usual depth-type acquisitions where we try & find reason to believe they are a capable starter. Yeehaw!
