If he starts and Lee comes off bench....I can see Hardaway scoring 18-20ppg....he averaged 14.5 last year in just 27mpg.
I'm with you here. Dude has flashed on offense, as a shooter and a scorer...

But it's only been flashes so far... and he doesn't fill up the stat sheet anywhere else.

That's a big dollar number for him... I would like him better at a more reasonable contract.

Same could be said for Bazemore and Turner.....it's what players get nowadays that can shoot and score.

Sounds good for the C's... they can't pay Bradley next year, they need cap space now... to get a decent player in return at a position of need (stretch PF) is the best they can hope for.

If Hayward meant we would lose Avery Bradley then I honestly wouldn't have done it if I was Ainge. Hayward isn't that good IMO where you can afford to lose Bradley who is by far the best defensive player on your team.

I hear you... but most knowledgeable NBA fans consider these contracts to be poor ones now.

The only good thing about the trade is they have another legit PF.

A lot of contracts from last summer was poor. Those guys who were free agents last summer should be so thankful.

The Heat signing KO for $50mil just reeks of desperation from Riley. No good FAs really want to come play in Miami right now. I think the way he handled Wade hurt us badly with future FAs. Just like Phil Jackson, Riley might be too Old School for the current NBA.

I disagree with you. Not because I don't really like Bradley, but because:

- Bradley is due a good sized pay day after this season
- You need stars to challenge for the title
- Bradley's not a star...
- Hayward is that good... he is a rock solid #2 guy on a competing team

We will definitely miss Bradley's defense, though, no argument there...

Boston is adding salary when they should be trying to dump it?

They're not adding salary. Bradley was going to make 8 mill this year while Morris is making 5 mill this season

I don't think it reeks desperation at all. PF was clearly one of their weakest positions. We had Luke Babbitt starting there last season. Issue with Pat is he tends to put his eggs in one basket and just meet with one top free agent. I feel like he should have went after Millsap as well. I also think if players didn't really want to play for Miami then they wouldn't consider meeting with them. You don't meet with a team you're not considering.

Turner can't shoot or score. Bazemore has a better shot but he's overpaid.

I'm not sure if Hayward is a star to be honest with you. I look at him as a really good player. Don't consider him a star though. He's not a top 20 player in the league.

Fair enough... we're not that far apart... we'd be quibbling if we started arguing about whether he's just on this side of the "star" line or the other.

Now that Hayward is in the fold, though, this move totally makes sense... and provides a needed body to the C's front court.

I agree that PF was one of our weaker positions but KO at $50 mil is crazy. No way is he worth that kind of $$. Millsap would have been nice. But personally, I think we have 2 outrageous contract in Ko and Tyler that will hurt us badly down the line. I like TJ just not for the $$. If we are able to come back at the level we played in the second half, we are a 4-5 seed.

Frankly, no one is beating the Warriors for the next couple years, this is the time to trade away what you can and stock up on draft picks and set ourselves up to be a legit contender again for many years to come. But thats just me. Arison and Riley did well by Miami and the fans know they gave us 4 great years of basketball. Im ok with sucking for a couple years while we stock up to be able to create another dynasty in a few years. Let Arison give his wallet a break.
