Yea, no. See I'm more along the lines of if I'm not competing I'm sure not going to help you compete. :D

That is why they should take Cleveland's future 1st in exchange (2021 and 2023).
Help them today, screw them tomorrow.

Last night I had a wet dream about Candace Parker

Ended up getting to work 3 hours late because I slept in so it wouldn't end.

Kyler pretty much sums up the whole PG saga well.

No matter who trades for him, he's going to the Lakers if they don't at least reach the finals.

No matter what shit deals are offered, the Pacers are not going to give George away for scraps 3-4 months before the season starts.

Serious question -- if Paul George grew up as a Clippers fan, how is it possible that he had a "lifelong dream" to play for the Lakers? That just seems bizarre to me.

Welcome back!!!!

So, let him walk for nothing?

* See Kevin Durant

.....and Turner is no Westbrook.

So, they have to take the best deal.

Also, I think Bird would rather play George 4 times a year over trading him to the Lakers.

Didn't Bird resign as president and serves as an adviser now?

I dunno.

He's allegedly burnt that they didn't draft him.

Doesn't really matter what the narrative is.

He wants to be a Laker and the Clippers don't have shit to trade for him regardless.

I believe that's their attitude in dealing with LA, out of spite.
But, if they can get similar value and facilitate a PG extension, well, I don't think they care who they trade with...

Agreed that it doesn't matter -- it just fuels my speculation that rumors that the Lakers are the predestined spot for George to land is half-true, half-BS.

Didn't Bird resign as president and serves as an adviser now?

Yep.

But, he is still heavily involved in the day to day operations.

Pritchard, the Indiana Pacers new team president, spent much of the day speaking to league executives, former players and some analysts in between games. Bird, as the Pacers newest executive advisor, enjoyed watching the latest crop of players who are eager to find employment in the NBA. Pritchard, who assumed the top role in the Pacers’ front office last week from Bird, wanted his former boss to help him in what could be one of the most seismic offseasons in franchise history.

Bird agreed to Pritchard’s request
.

Bird will help Pritchard throughout the pre-draft period. Bird is expected to be involved in determining the Pacers’ draft board, player interviews and the team-held workouts, which are set to begin early next week. Pritchard, unlike in year’s past when he was the general manager, will decide which players the team selects with 18th and 48th picks – or if the team trades either of those picks on draft night. The draft is June 22.

After the draft, Bird plans to assist Pritchard in early July during the start of free agency. He is expected to be one of the several people involved when Pritchard meets with free agents during the league’s moratorium period.

“That’s the plan,” Bird told IndyStar late Thursday afternoon
.

He said it's his preference, not his solitary choice.

Things could change for a Championship level Team.

* Spurs, Cavs *

But, a Team that can't get to the Finals?

* Every other Team besides the Warriors, Spurs and Cavs *

No shot at retaining him.

Yeah. I honestly think his desire to play for the Lakers stems from the misconception that it will dramatically increase his off-the-court value. Personally, I think you're either a superstar or you're not. Doesn't matter where you play and the off-the-court money all stems from that.

Don't think your avi has gone un-noticed by me. I'm not happy AT ALL that West has jumped on the Clipper wagon. :nono:

Interesting all defensive team(s) voting?

Looked over every vote.
Tristan is about as easy to find as @WiggyRuss .

#nowheretobeseen

Whiteside is 16th on the list, ahead of LeBron and some other big names.
