talk about done deals and rumors...
You are assuming Cueto opts out...
I don't know enough about Honeywell to comment there, but assuming he is a high prospect, that would be nice. Not sure what that does to Blach. He hasn't shown the ability to pitch out of the pen, so maybe he becomes trade fodder?Yeah, but I guess theoretically if Shark's and Belt's contracts are off the table (even if the Giants kick some money, which is likely) Cueto's wouldn't be as bad to keep around.
Bum-Cueto-Moore-Honeywell-Beede would at least have a ton of potential to be elite, though as much potential to be a massive bust.

If the Rays want Strickland, I say we send him to them....in exchange for Duffman. Bring back the Duffman.
This.Duffy has played a total of 29 games in the majors and minors combined since we traded him.
Achilles injuries are no joke.

Actually, according to BBRef, Moore has a cumulative +0.2 WAR for his tenure with the Giants vs Duffy's cumulative +0.1 WAR.Kinda sad that Tampa getting a guy who may be too injured to revive his career still won the trade. Our guy is healthy and thus actively helping us lose games

But I get your meaning...
And, just looking at WAR to-date completely ignores Fox.Moore has been hot garbage this season, but last year for us he was quite good especially as the season went on. Was great against the dodgers in September, then shut down the Cubs in the playoffs.
Not really enough to consider it a "win" per say, but the trade worked out quite well last year.
Counter-point: the Giants didn't trade for him as a rental.
JD is a rental, so it would have been hard to get a great package, I think.D-Backs make a big move, trading for J.D. Martinez.
They gave up 3 prospects, none of which were considered their best, but they also pay all of his remaining salary. Good for them, the NL West race should be very interesting this year.
