I agree. He can say what he wants about playing another 3 to 4 years, but the cowboy's have to plan for a future without him.Have to love his optimism. When you hear him talk , he kind of sounds like he feels that he let his team down this year. It's clear that he is in denial about aging and becoming more fragile. It had to tear him up watching his team perform this year without him. He knows he can't get hurt again for a significant amount of time. Can't wait to see him play again
Good news. Sounds like he will be fine until at least mid September...Tony Romo to have CT scan, says 'I'll be able to play for a while'

Tony Romo appeared in just four games last season after fracturing his clavicle on two separate occasions. But the 35-year-old Cowboys quarterback has no plans to retire anytime soon. In fact, he sounds emboldened by the continued success of two future Hall of Famers who will face off in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.Romo is scheduled to have a CT scan on his left collarbone this week, and he admits that the collarbone has "gotten stronger and stronger" during rehab, and he's been able to train harder over the last three weeks than the previous six months.
"I'm getting excited about that," Romo admitted, via the Dallas Morning News. "I kind of wish that training camp was coming up. But for me, I already had an offseason almost during the year, so I feel as though I'll be ready to rock for OTAs."
Romo's injury coincided with the Cowboys' lost season. Backups Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel both flopped, and the team's four wins no doubt left owner and general manager Jerry Jones wondering if he should have had a more reliable contingency plan.
Either way, Romo sounds upbeat about his future in Dallas.
"It's as strong as it's been in three or four years," he said. "That's exciting because you don't know that when you first go through some of the back troubles early on and have surgery, you don't know how it's going to come out, but I'm seeing a very strong side to it now where I'm able to do things that I wasn't able to do even last year. That's exciting to me. "I feel like the joke is, I've said it before, as everyone else is getting older, I'm getting younger. You just got to go out and do it and prove it. I think next year you'll see a little bit different Dallas Cowboys team."

I don't buy it. It's a broken bone. Shit happens. If it was back related I would be worried. He claims his back is stronger than it has been in 5 yrs?
