Lakers will HAVE to cut ties with him if this is true.
They'll likely get pennies on the dollar.

Trade for someone else's lottery pick this season. That's all I could come up with too be honest. I don't envy Mitch Kupchak right now.

I heard about that last week. Don't know why its just getting traction now.

But, yeah, what the heck was he thinking? Strange.

Apparently, Byron Scott was right awhile back when he questioned Russell's maturity. According to the Lakers it was a prank that went bad. Russell is 19 and at 19, we're all pretty much dumbasses. Unfortunately, he's a well known 19 year old dumbass.

Looks to me like his teammates are handling it in their own way. He'll need to try to make some kind of amends with the team in general and Young in particular and then they'll likely move on from it. But it's going to be awhile before they trust him again. He'll have to earn that back.

If this ends Swaggy relationship, there is no coming back from this for Russell

Yes there is. Kobe came back from a r*pe accusation and supposedly mentioning Shaq's affairs when he was being questioned by the police. Russell needs to do whatever he can to make amends to Young and the team and keep his mouth shut. He's 19 years old and has a long career ahead of him. If he handles it right, he'll eventually be fine.

Much of the roster will likely turn over during the off-season as well, so that can help. It may have a negative effect in the upcoming FA because guys are going to have questions.

Stephen A -- this is an "Atrocity of the Highest Order". (first time I heard this since Porzingis) "It's a shame that Kobe has allowed this to happen to him."

SVP: "The best thing that could happen to the Lakers that their season could come to a merciful end shortly."

Not sure why Kobe is getting any blame from Stephen A. He's hardly around the team.

I agree. Kobe's got a foot out of the door already. He's ready to move on with life.

Also, I thought it was funny that Stephen A. was so insistent that Kobe should've retired last season. I guess anyone can just give up $25 mil.

Kobe ain't got time to mentor anyone. Kobe's only got time for 20 shots a night and adoration from people that normally hated him.

Kobe's getting paid $25 mil this season. I'm assuming baby sitting duties are somewhere in his contract. jk
