that's a steep price. I'm normally all in trading prospects for proven MLB talent, but Walker and Peterson for a rent-a-pitcher. I dunno.

The rays should be desperate to get ANYTHING for Price since he is hitting free agency. Why do I get the feeling that the Mariners are going to be too desperate to win this year when they should be putting pieces in place for the next 3 years?

It makes no sense to trade Walker and Peterson.....NONE.

Walker is another shoulder issue away from being the next Ryan Anderson. He is 21 with shoulder problems, that is not a good situation at all for a pitcher. Odds of him ever being another Felix are about 5% at best. If you can deal him for a proven MLB vet, then you do it. Don't let bad trades of the past scare you off from doing what needs to be done. Paxton and his injury problems aren't that far behind and you sure can't have two of them as your 'future'.

Why has there not been any contract discussions with Kyle Seager? Because he can't wait to get the fuck out of here. Three more years and then we get to watch him sign a 6 years/$130 million deal with the Angels.

But what NW (and others) are referring to is a change in Walker's mechanics. He had better mechaniccs a year ago. Good mechanics = reduced risk. Bad mechanics = increased risk.

A) Marlon Byrd said he put Seattle on his list but said he is open to going anywhere and that it would be a discussion with his agent and Ruben Amaro Jr.(Phillies GM)

B) How could you possibly know what Kyle Seager is going to do? Don't you think the M's are busy playing baseball and are holding stuff that doesn't fucking matter till after the season. Seager is a fan favorite and the M's are going to (over)pay him....watch.
