Nick Nickson done soon too. We definitely had it really good with announcers and play by play guys. I can't imagine a post-Jim Fox Kings experience.

As long as it's not another Faust I'm good with that. I still believe Stoll will be considered for that job and I think he will do a good job if so.

I always knew Frolov was a player, just had a hunch haha.

Weird article but was checking to see what he's been up to.

Weird article but was checking to see what he's been up to.

Very random, but article doesn't say anything about his passions. Just that he had three girls in his life, and married two of them. My main gripe with Frolov is that one his passions actually wasn't hockey, and he hated the ins and outs that it took to be good. He just happened to be really good at it. Crazy that he's only 42. I feel like I remember him missing a crucial break away against Vancouver in 2010 and Canucks came back to win Game 4 (and eventually take series in 6). Article says he's maybe looking to extend his family, so pretty close to needing to get on that, unless he just goes and gets a younger wife.

That was one of the first articles that popped up on Google, title is misleading too - most of it centers around the women and his relationships with them. I read it and felt I just wasted 5 minutes on something from TMZ.

He always seemed to have another level in him that he just didn't consistently reach but did show now and again. He was damn near impossible to strip the puck from in the corners and against the boards, very Jason Allison like in the puck protection department. Good hands but slow.

After he took that skate to the face he never seemed to be the same again. He did have some solid years in LA though including two 32+ goals seasons. But he just wasn't consistent.

Another link I read after this because it led me down a rabbit hole is the first wife died of sepsis in 2019 and ensuing legal issues with some shared property.

And yes, very strange to think he's only 42.

I don't know man, more and more women are having kids in their 40s now than ever. I started late (30) and ended late (37) and that was rough as it was, I can't even imagine having a kid now at 50. Great times, loved that time with them but never want to go through it again haha. But I'm glad I started late, between all the jail visits and shenanigans in my 20s I would have been a crap father. All happened when it was supposed to.

And.I completely forgot he was part of one PO run with LA coming out of a three year rebuild. I do recall he had a good series but don't remember the missed breakaway.

But then again I could be thinking of (INSERT KINGS PLAYER HERE) because it seems like no Kings player scores on a breakaway like I see from other teams.

Ray Shero dies at 62, WTF. He built the 2009 Penguins Cup team and set up NJ with guys like Hughes and Hischier. Solid executive.

Greg Millen just passed away at 67 a few days ago as well, I watched him as a kid. Had a decent career as a goalie.

Dudes dropping like flies at young ages, scares the crap out of me.

And in Kings news, Doughty is the Kings nominee for the Masterson.

Corey Perry, being Corey Perry.....

Still doing his thing two decades later, I'll give him that much. But really easy to dislike the guy unless he plays for your team.

Watched that game, Oilers took the lead with about :20 left, McJesus returned.

Was hoping the Blues would have won, back to two points between LA and Edmonton but the Kings hold almost all the tie breakers for PD2.

Man. Just caught the full recap. McDavid right back to where he was and had his fingerprints all over pretty much every goal for the Oilers. Not loving the Kings injuries vs Oilers getting healthy.

TA, the most disappointing player from every team in 2024-25:

Los Angeles Kings

Phillip Danault, C

There aren’t many candidates from a Kings team that has performed well, especially at home, and has challenged Vegas for the Pacific Division title. Danault’s lack of goal scoring could fall into this column, and he’s had only one power-play point despite playing regularly on the second unit. But he’s still a solid, trusted defensive presence. — Eric Stephens

That is a great point and hard to imagine at the same time. I don't know why Dunno is constantly out there on PP2 especially because the PP as a whole is so bad. It wouldn't hurt if Jill tried out someone else there.

Elholm believed to be seriously injured.

Good player but also dirty AF, a lot of the cross checks and subtle jabs that don't get called. Physical player too.

Helps LA for sure if he's out. More responsibility on Nurse which is always a good thing because he isn't that good and I love seeing Nurse and Skinner Specials.

This is lining up to be the Kings best chance to finally eliminate them in the first round. Injuries are part of the game, the Kings have some as well but not as serious.
