I'm not convinced he will.

Is there anything about his performance so far that leads you to that opinion or are you simply hoping he doesn't? His numbers certainly look stout. A career 1.86 ERA and a career WHIP of 0.975 with 11.2 SO per nine innings.

Jordan Zimmerman has also been made available along with Doug Fister. I'd like either of these too. JD certainly has a lot of options.

What is the issue with the way he is built? I have never seen him pitch in person and have never heard that before. Is he too thin?

6'2" 160 pounds, and thats always been an issue with him, thats why I was ok with selling high on him

Only made 12 starts this year due to shoulder issues, classic overthrower type

I could be way off, but I'm guessing it's either just a rumor with no substance to it floated out there by someone in the media, or perhaps Washington made him "available" just to see if any offers come in which blow them away. In baseball, pretty much everyone is technically "available" for the right price.

I'm just not sold at all on MM being the answer in LF. Frankly, even from a platoon standpoint.

But I did indeed "forgot him." Maybe it was on purpose. haha

Smolinski also. If he doesn't get drafted then Hoying as well. There is also a possibility that we pick up an OF in the Rule 5 draft.
