As bad as Choo may be in CF that may be a good idea as far as a backup and let someone more deserving fill in at the COF spots.

Am not at all advocating Choo playing CF even in a backup capacity ... I'm just saying if The Roadrunner is your backup and takes the wrong route ... that defeats the only tool he has. And is undoubtedly what HOU thought too.

I think Hoying would be our backup CF if we had not taken DeShields in the Rule 5 draft. They just want to keep DeShields longer and work with him some to see if there is anything there. I think this decision was made when they decided to draft DeShields. At least this way Hoying gets to play everyday.
