Dodgers could use a manager. They sure do not have one right now.

You got that right.

And how can anyone feel but that's where he's headed?

It would have been interesting to see what would have transpired had he been available during our search process. But this just has writing all over it, the only reason he opted out was to move out west.

Had he wanted to make himself available on the open market, he could have done this already.

JD is too much of an egomaniac and control freak to ever hire Joe Maddon. Never would have happened.

So I guess, according to you, we're pretty much screwed with the hiring of the "soon-to-be-infamous-fanny-kisser" Mr. Bannister?

You guys really think Joe Maddon and JD would have worked well together? I think Maddon is one of the best managers in baseball and Texas would have been lucky to get him but I don't think he would have come here all things considered. I see him going to the NL.

Why couldn't they have worked together? While I don't deny JD probably has an ego, everybody in the business does and have to have one to survive. Yes he's one of the best managers in baseball which is why the line is forming to the left right now for his services. If by NL you mean the Dodgers then yes that's probably why he exercised his clause.

The Cubs are what I'm hearing.

I think you're a tool who needs to go away.

The Dodgers are said to be sticking with Mattingly for 2015. That is being reported by multiply outlets. Sometimes the "obvious" isn't really as obvious as some think. Everyone thought Bogar was a cinch to manage here next year and then this morning everyone thought Maddon had to be heading to the Dodgers. Things usually aren't as clear cut as they seem.

I hope Mattingly stays with them forever. He's a joke.

I bet Maddon takes the year off, do a little bit of broadcasting and managing again in 2016.

If he does he might pull a Jimmy Johnson or a Bill Cowher and decide he would rather be a broadcaster than a manager.
