Sounds like your back's holding up pretty well there, Murph. Glad to here it!

Yeah DG after my first round of injections took back in May, I was able to go 6 months or so before I got where I couldn't move around very well again. Went back Wednesday for another round and hopefully they'll take again and I can make it for another 6 months with limited pain and full mobility. Crossing fingers, thanks man!

i'm ok with slight changes. Baseball wants to gain more fans of the sport and that's been the knock on the game for a long time now that the games are too long and too boring. You shorten the game up and that boredom could eliminate. Don't get me wrong I love the purity of baseball and it's the most pure of all the other major sports when comparing different eras especially but if the leagues look at things and improves the overall experience and game then I am surely open to it.

I wouldn't mind them keeping the batter from taking 15 seconds to adjust his gloves and get back into the box on every single pitch. Make them stay in the box.
Well, keep an eye on the minor leagues. It's suppose to be starting there. Pitch clock or something.

Instant replay slowed the game down but purified the results of the outcome. I like this but wanting to speed it up now is not necessary. People who truly understand the game doesn't think it's slow or boring. Example: A 1 to 0 game is view'd by some as too slow and boring. For me it was a well pitched game. The game is drawing more fans than ever especially contenders. I say leave it alone and let fans discover how the game is played.

How many minutes did it really add to the game? If you account for arguments from blown calls then it might be pretty negligible to the overall product.

I'd bet there's not much difference, if any.

You make a good point. But the next thing you know someone will want to eliminate arguments which is part of the game not found in the rule book. IMO don't start tampering with the game we all love so much. Also records could be effected by to many changes.

As long as they get the calls right I am all for replay. And yeah there have been some dumb rules lately. The transfer rule was absolutely horrible and the new home plate rule stinks to high heaven.

That play happens and just a regular spare catcher gets hurt and not Buster Posey I highly doubt that home plate rule even happens.

I'm surely not opposed to just leaving it alone either. I'm at least glad the league is open to looking at things but I hope to god it doesn't become anything like the NFL where there's severe overboard in changing things and defining things to make things overly stupid and technical ex. a football play etc.

Thanks for bringing those up. Many more changes like those and we will have to learn the game again. Just play ball.

What did arguments ever accomplish?

I bet you're right.

Not to mention the total ape shit the Giants went in condemning the guy and bitching to the league...don't remember his name but was it Craig Counsel? I understand Posey is their guy and their superstar but that was just an unfortunate play that resulted in the way it did.
