Prediction on what move the Rangers make?

I think the Rangers will trade for Cashner, though I would love to see them pick up Jordan Zimmerman instead. I know he would probably break their budget, but Yu and Zim would give the Rangers the best 1-2 punch in the AL IMO

I dont think the Rangers have the resources to pull off both. At least w/o gutting the system.

As for Cashner - I like him.... but his home/away splits have me worried.

Lets say Zim were willing to sign long term with Texas if the deal were made....would you be willing to give up Gallo and Alfaro to get him? On the flip, if the Rangers get their injured players back, I think it would instantly make them the best team in the West

Very rarely do players agree to sign long term before trades are done. It has happened, but it is rare. I wouldn't count on that being able to be done. That being said, no I would not give up those two for him either way.

The A's have traded their entire 3-4-5 over the last 5 months and lost another bat to FA. They replaced those with Billy Butler and Brett Lawrie. What the fuck is Billy Beane doing?

In a league where power is becoming hard to find Beane traded players that all had an OPS over .767 last season. I just cannot believe it.
